Massassi Dating Advise Service?
2005-09-17, 4:35 PM #1
Meh.

Is it actually possible to find someone who'd fit me (you, whatever) in every way? For me it'd probably be a chick who'd like rock music, share my opinions regarding, say, rap or modern pop culture, but who could stand up for opinions of her own? Freegoing, not caring that much about what others think of her, understanding the difference between love and sex, and, most importantly, like VIDEO GAMES?

Seriosly. Why most girls look down on gaming? Like, WTF?

Oh, and also, who'd look pretty. Jeez.

I should delete this now, as I doubt anything good will come out of this semi-rant thing. However, since I went through the bother of typing it all up, I guess I'll just go for the "Submit" button. And besides, I guess sharing this feels good.

Yeah, I'm almost 19, and am a lonely creep. But it could be worse. It could be raining.

I think there are far more important things to look for in a girl than video games.

Maybe girls don't like people who find someone to look down on in order to feel good about themselves. >.>

Warlord is right on that one, I do know alot of girls that play games.
That's not to say for example they won't look down on the people who play games 6 hours a day. Again as said, pretty much everyone does that.

A girl that knows the difference between love and sex, HA! Good luck on that one.
Go out, have fun. Wait till you eventually come across the least worst of the pack. Or if you're lucky, one you like. (And likes you). That's all you can do IMO unless you just get lucky. I got lucky years ago but then I was an idiot and messed it up.

A girl who is playful, enjoys my interests as well as her own and likes me for who I am rather than because i'm "safe", I don't want to be settled for.

So far all the girls i've been interested in have been brunette.

Holy crap, these boards are fast.

How in the world did you jump to that conclusion? I, ehm, don't really want to look down on anyone, especially someone I'd care about. And I'm sure that neither do most people. I might label myself a creep, but of the positive variety. Heh.

It's not that hard. I actually know (have been with) a pair of girls like this. Problem is, we don't fit each other well understanding-wise. Hell, one of them I didn't even speak the same language with.

That's sort of my life. Get me right - I'm not lonely because I can't get a chick. I'm lonely because I can't get a relationship I'd want, or enjoy. And not only me, I bet.

More directly, I assumed that since you lumped rap in with pop culture your views on both would be generally negative uninformed blanket statements about the two!

MAYBE NOT
2005-09-17, 5:59 PM #17
My views on both rap and pop are very negative, but I *do* know the difference. I, however, meant it more in the way of (white) people who "like" rap just to be in touch with the crowd, and not its actual black culture impacts.

Yes.

For future reference: Sage Francis, Eyedea, Lyrics Born, Pharcyde, Atmosphere, Gorrillaz, and Deltron 3030 all encompass what I think of as "Good" rap. There's more, but that's just off the top of my head.

Have you ever considered that girls are thinking the same thing and think they are actually the lonely creeps? Both genders have their problems finding people. A lot of guys get turned off I play video games and all that stuff. ...guys are just confusing. :gbk:

yeah you're right, what was I thinking , rap doesn't go on sheetmusic

You can just write the words down with crayons on construction paper. You can say it in sync with the background track if you even know how to speak the language (if that doesn't work, modify the words to fit).

No, you can hate rap, but saying rap has no musical part to it period, and/or that it's musically inferior to anything else is stupid and pathetic. Because, while most of the best rap is a progression through lyricism purely (Sage Francis is a prime example), those songs still have a good rhythm, and the music in some rap songs is the only reason I like them (Bone Thugs for example, has horribly 90s cliche lyrics, but they've still got excellent music and harmony (teehee) and Atmosphere...well is a healthy mix of both).

the rhythm doesn't seem to work - what would the time signature be and why is it different in every measure?

Do you mean the "rapper?" Because it looks like it repeats every two measures.

no, I mean the musician line, the rapper is in 4/4 but in the musician line, (lets just say that quarter note gets the beat) the first measure has 7 beats, the second has 5 and the third has 4. No sense

...sorry, but you all know I'm a dork anyway :p
