Red Dwarf, most definitely.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I wanted to vote for Star Trek..but I liked B5 better.

Why in God's name isn't The Twilight Zone at number 1??? And how in God's name does Battlestar Gacraptica beat it??? What is wrong with people?!?! Without the Twilight Zone, a lot of these crappy shows probably wouldn't even exist today!

The question was which sci-fi TV show do you think is the best, not, "which sci-fi tv show's legacy has kept the genre alive."

And would not the latter portion make it the best?

Mobile Suit Gundam. To be more series specific, Zeta Gundam and 08th MS Team.

No. ST: TOS started the Star Trek franchise, but it was nowhere near the best series that ST produced.

Farscape. I think X-Files was crap from the beginning, Twilight zone has been outclassed in this day and age, sliders was okay, but got worse as I grew up, Quantum Leap...was good, but not great, Star Trek...bleh. Hatred. Stargate is excellent, but not the best, Firefly just BARELY lags behind Farscape...etc.

Star Trek: The Next Generation was my vote. It's what got me into sci-fi in the first place. And I think Patrick Stewart is a wonderful actor.

Honorable mentions: Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis. I hope SG-1 doesn't fall victim à la X-Files, which is another honorable mention.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Agreed on all accounts. Patrick Stewart kicks ***. Although I've never heard a Frenchman with that peculiar accent. ;)

X-Files > Star Trek > Sliders > Battlestar Galactica 2003 > The Twilight Zone > Futurama > Futurama > Stargate > Farscape > Buffy/Angel

I have never seen the others and can't comment on them until I do.

Futurama > Futurama?

>_>

Futurama is second for me. I really don't count it as Sci-Fi, though. It's more a futuristic comedy.
