I literally spend hours on mixtapes, doing the art, compiling the songs in terms of theme, tempo, etc.

My latest creation for a girl I fancy:

Ambulance Ltd. - Stay Where You Are
Muse - Time Is Running Out
The Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies)
Wishbone Ash - Warrior
Guided by Voices - Everyone Thinks I'm A Raincloud
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - In This Home On Ice
Sunny Day Real Estate - Rain Song
TV On The Radio - Staring At The Sun
Trail Of Dead - Crowning Of A Heart
Elliott Smith - A Passing Feeling
Cary Brothers - Blue Eyes
Rufus Wainwright - Cigs and Choco Milk
Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
U2 - Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of
Velvet Revolver - Loving The Alien
Nameless Good Song :S

I just can't think of good coverart.

Not a bad one there Grismath.

For coverart you should put Rufus Wainwright on there. Cause he's mad hot.

It's for a Swiss girl, so I entitled it "Swiss Diplomacy Mix" and put the Swiss flag and did a red and white theme. I put a big red fleur-de-lis on the CD, and put it in a white case.

Here's my most recent mix. For this one, I sat down and asked myself, "If I had made a movie and was putting together the soundtrack, what songs would be on it, and in what order?" The result:

Jack's Mannequin - Into the Air Waves
Foster-Walker Complex - Don't Think I Have Time
Nickel Creek - Green and Gray
Switchfoot - Twenty-Four
Cake - Short Skirt/Long Jacket
Juliana Theory - We're at the Top of the World
The Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight
Something Corporate - Ruthless
Mae - This Time Is the Last Time
Straylight Run - Mistakes We Knew We Were Making
Waking Ashland - I Am For You
Nickel Creek - Scotch and Chocolate

Yeah, it's kind of poppy, but it's fun.

I'm not taking a side on this one way or another. I'm just trying to understand how they rationalize it being illegal.

Funny story about that...
I was taking a polygraph test for a job I have, and the guy kept telling me I was failing the "have you committed a serious crime" question, and what have I done.

I confessed to sharing music, which I didn't consider a serious crime, but it could be setting it off I guess. He, a 40 year old government worker, told me "You know what I used to do as a kid? I used to take those big boom boxes, put a tape in, and hit the record button when my favorite song came on the radio. Filesharing is no different."

It made me proud.
