I've got mine..now I need the extended edition.

But then, they released released the box set of all three..and even though I own all the movies...it's like OMG SPECIAL EDITIONZ!!!! :P I won't get it, I'm to poor, plus it would be stupid to buy what I already have.

Liv Tyler is rather attractive. Especially with Elf ears. She seems like she's always high in her interviews though, and I'm no fan of stoners.

I'm going to wait until there's an extended edition trilogy. I'm not made of money. :/

Considering the fact that Liv Tyler is more attractive than any woman that 99% of the people on this forum will ever have a chance with, I think it's safe to say that her being ugly is an exaggeration. She's not the most attractive lady on the planet, but she is rather attractive. As far as personality, I doubt anyone here will ever know.

My dad picked up RotK from the place I preordered it from...and they give us FULLSCREEN?!?! What the hell is this? We asked for widescreen [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif] My dad said it was one of those rap addicted annoying teen blonde stupid girls with a nose ring chewing gum people. They need to READ!! Widescreen doesn't spell fullscreen :/ They always do that. They jsut hand you a random movie and assume it's what you want. I half way opened it then I realized it said Fullscreen, and I was like "NOOOO!!!!! MR.FRODOOOO!!!!"

I'm not that mad, just frustrated. I think 80% of the movies I pre-ordered as widescreen, they always give me fullscreen. So whenever I remember I always double check.

I consider the EEs the "real" movies, so I still have a long wait till November... The good thing is that by november I will remember less of the movie, so it's more fun to watch (althougt not plot wise, but otherwise).

Rented it, watched it, waiting for the EE to complete the collection.

Man the special features on the standard edition suck! I'd seen most of them before (tv ads and trailers, lordoftherings.net spots, National Geographic special), and the rest was 2 almost identical documentaries which glossed over all the cool stuff and didnt go in-depth at all. Bring on the 4-disc EE!!

Damn it. With all the movies filmed and fixed, you would think they had more time to do it - and you would think PJ would want to get rid of it to be able to dedicate his full time to his ape movie. But no! This is pure cruelty. PJ has a strong Dark side aura sometimes.

BWHAHAH, I just picked up a copy of ROTK for 14.99 USD. At a Target. And about the EE release, I read in a magizine somewhere, at least I think it was a magizine, that the EE was schedualed to some out in August. Since August is normaly when the regualr edition would come out (I.E. FotR, TTT). So we can only wait and see.

Why get the Extended Edition and the non-extended? Does the non-extended have anything that the EE doesn't?

Also, yes, regardless of what Peter Jackson says, the EEs are totally the proper versions and the cinematic is just an editted version. Both EEs have been considerably better than the cinematics (though I still didn't like TT much), and FOTR EE at least created the same atmosphere as in the book.
I think ROTK was by far the best film, and I'm terribly curious about what might be in the EE. I'm not sure what they could have cut out.
