Ok, here are two images, but read this FIRST:

BEFORE YOU START BASHING THE IMAGES, KEEP IN MIND THAT MY SCANNER IS 7 YEARS OLD, IT HAS NEVER BEEN CLEANED SO THE INSIDEA GLASS THINGY IS DIRTY, YOU WILL SEE DUST PARTICLES ON THE IMAGE. THE IMAGE QUALITY IS VERY LOW. IT INTENSIFIES ALL THINGS, SO THE LIGHTSABRES WILL BE INSTESIFIED ON THIS THING, AS WELL AS EVERY OTHER BRIGHT THING, HOWEVER THEY ARE NOT LIKE THAT. YOU WILL SEE SOME GREEN LINES, THEY ARE NOT PART OF THE CASE OR ANYTHING, THEY ARE JUST A SCANNER FLAW, AND EVERY IMAGE OF THAT SCANNER HAS THEM.

I still want an image of the dvd just for grins... although asking for one is stupid. Anyone who was really trying to pull something could just scan a different dvd, which actually is real.

But this seems like it is real... why a ****ing clear case, though?

Absolutely. Bright light won't damage CDs, save extreme UV over time, like from the sun, which could damage the plastic the disc is made of. Which is usually polycarbonate, which is quite UV resistant anyway.

Umm, your dvd looks a little bit different than mine. You're missing the "Widescreen" or "Fullsreen" lable at the top of the insert, and the second image should have the big STAR WARS III logo under their feet.

To be absolutely sure, check the region. If it's a Region 0 disc, I guarantee that you have a bootleg. If this is the case, its worth about a fifth of what you paid for it.

Here's a scan of mine. I know there are slight differences because mine is a US version.

This came from Hollywood Video (I work there) so there's no question of its legitimacy.

A large number of my legitimate "Hollywood" DVDs have clear cases including my Star Wars Trilogy DVDs (they also don't have the widescreen trim at the top".

Err.. Gold... buying EP3 dvds before official release, in cases that don't match what all the other countries seem to be advertising... isn't quite very clever. You yourself even said the quality of sound wasn't very good at times.

I'd have to agree with the others, it does look like you've been slightly scammed. But it looks like a good scam copy.

Rob, don't bother with that. SF_Gold has proven to us through the given evidence it is a legit copy(possibly) and IRG is just trying to get you guys to back off. Lay off of him you guys, I thought it was bootleg too. If it turns out the copy is bootleg, he got a copy of the movie and he's happy. If he scans the DVD's and they ARE bootleg, don't rip his head off.
