Looks really cool.

It's funny that if somebody had shown me those pictures and told they were taken in Finland, I wouldn't have doubted at all.

This was only about 4 or 5 hours of snow. That's quite a bit for our state.

It's very exciting to get any amount of snow here. I've lived in other states that get full-on blizzards, so I have plenty of experience with snow. It's funny here how people FLIP OUT over a couple inches and cancel school and drive 10 mph but I guess it's all relative.

Still enough snow for me to write my name in my neighbors backyard...

Very pretty. We have about 1.5 feet on the ground right now, with 12-24 more inches tonight. (northeast Ohio)

That's not too far from me. We have about that much snow up here in Bellingham right now, and from what I've heard, in Port Angeles too. This whole area of Western Washington got it pretty good...earlier than usual, too.

Whatever little snow we get here on the Swedish west coast thaws the next day and freezes the next night to form a wonderful inch-thick ice crust on every paved surface. :(

You can only see the ground in places where they used the snow for the snow man! And places that are covered (carport).

We're way out in the middle of nowhere. The closest business is a gas station with a small pizza place attached. That's about 6 minutes drive away. The nearest town is 20 minutes drive (depending on traffic). This is the only way I was able to afford a house with any decent amount of property (2.1 acres).

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Out of town and in the woods, but close enough to town that it's not a hassle.

That's rough, but I could have a 2 hour commute each way living and working in the Bay Area.

yes. but i'd work at the local gas station for $5/hr.
my place would be a dump mind you but i'd be happy. :/

like avenger said, i do 60 minutes there and 90 minutes home each day and i live in the city. it's be 90 minutes both ways if i wasn't leaving my house at 5am every morning. it sucks!!

I HATE all of the people who whine about not getting snow. Some day I'm going to go to all of your houses and dump 400 lbs of packing foam and carpenter's glue all over your driveways so you can see what it's like.

What the hell are you crying about--snow is awesome. I missed it so much in Alabama.

If you like it so much, how about you shovel my drive come January?

Edit: Seriously, it isn't fun. Especially when it snows like 2 feet while you're at work, kids run through the snow so it's all packed down into ice, and then you have to scrape and chisel it off of your walk so you don't get fined and sprinkle salt/gravel all over your driveway so the paper boy's parents don't sue you.
