I was thinking about this the other day, and I was just wondering about everyone else. What laws are you guilty of breaking? Don't go into TOO much detail if it's something that really shouldn't be elaborated on.

I'm not too bad of a kid:

1. Driving over the speed limit on a regular basis.
2. Drinking alcohol under the age of 21.
3. Music/Software Piracy.

Umm... I can't think of any more right now, I'll add them if I think of any.

-Pfft, speeding isn't a punishable offense unless you're excessively speeding. 7's the magic number I stick with, unless I'm the slowest car on the road.
-meh, done some drinking, but it's New Year's
-how many college students haven't?

I wasn't bragging, I was just tallying the offenses that could potentially lead to being punished by the authorities.

-software/movie piracy (since downloading music is legal in Canada :D )
-speeding (hell, who doesn't speed)
-doing things with hazardous chemicals that are probably banned by the Geneva Convention

(Just a thought; aren't we not supposed to talk about illegal stuff here? I have memory of more than a few posts being edited for talking about piracy and such.)
Stuff

in that case
ZOMG Illegal references :O
Seeing an R-rated movie while under the age of 17
Breaking about every law on the internet
Smoking a cigar before the age of 18
Driving 45 mph over the speed limit(65 mph)
Underaged drinking
Smoking Pot
Swapping campaign signs on people's lawns
I have a "4-Way" sign hanging in my room
Grand Theft Reese's

Taking into account the circumstances when most of this stuff happened, I'd say it's all pretty trivial. I expect most people have done this stuff, or something similar to it at one point in their lives.

Now there's a nice question.

  • Underage drinking.
  • Underage drinking in public.
  • Drinking in public.
  • Underage smoking of marihuana.
  • Underage smoking of marihuana in public.
  • Underage smoking.
  • Illegal use of harddrugs.
  • Assault.
  • Stealing from local stores.
  • Music/Software piracy.
  • Molestation of cars.
  • Insulting an officer on duty. (Told him to "go catch some bad guys, instead of being nitpicky")

Most of that is behind me, though.

I'm so painfully boring.
2005-12-06, 3:39 AM #11
- Probably some slight form of music piracy, but maybe not. I'm wierd
- I kind of cheated on my driver's liscence. There was just a misunderstanding, and the guy at the counter was nice, so it's good.

The rest depends on how you view skateboarding.

Piracy, marijuana, underage smoking and drinking (age of 13, if I recall correctly), going to discos while drunk and making fun of people. I bloody hate discos. Drinking absinth in school, right before a geography test. I got a B though, heh. Having sex with a number of people I probably wasn't supposed to be having sex with. But oh well, as long as everyone's happy. Assault. Forgery.

Anyways, I got through the teenage angst period thing after I turned 18. I hope.

Man, this thread is going down.

  • Music/Movie Piracy (but now those days are long gone)
  • Grabbing TV shows from torrents (depends on how you view that activity)
  • Hiding from the cops with alcohol after a friend's car got busted (funny thing was, I didn't even drink *any* of it.)
  • Accused of Assult but it was most definately self defense.
  • Speeding

J-walking, and there was a time when I tried software piracy.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.

Breaking and entering? Erm...

Or is it called forced entry? Who knows. But... yeah.

I don't have an orange cap on my airsoft rifle. I think that's illegal.

I also own some things that would be illegal in California, but fortunately that's not where I live.

Oh, and I've used the internet in illegal ways before.
But it was a long time ago.

right, lets get this sorted into categories, first. Drugs:

Weed (Class B/C depending on what mood the government is in that day)

Speed (Class B)

Ecstacy (A)

Acid (A)

Shrooms (A)

i think thats it.

Other:

Stealing, underage drinking and smoking (way back when).

Assault (i think its classed as assault when you just have a random fight, i think you need to go at someone with a knife or something for it to be GBH).

Destruction of private property or whatever its called.

Thats about it.

oh yeah, downloading crap too.

Breaking and Entering
Trespass
Felony Vandalism
Grand Theft Auto
Resisting Arrest
Assault
Illegal possession of a firearm
Shooting a firarm within city limits
Animal Abuse
Destruction of Private Property
Destruction of Public Property
Arson
Carrying illegal weapons in public
Public Indecency
Public Lewdness
Exposing oneself to a minor

That's all I can think of for now. Note that most of these were not with malice, just having fun and pulling pranks as teenage boys are prone to do.

Piracy (Arr!)

Tresspassing (airsofting after dark at a local school, some some other places)

I'm a klepto. I steal probably on a daily basis.
The obvious underage Booze
Drugs

Other than that I don't really break so many laws as that I'm just an *******.

Various forms of Piracy (including *real* piracy...)
Speeding (125 in a 50 zone, anyone?)
Driving without a registration
Driving without insurance
Driving without an inspection
Possession of illegal substances (not drugs)
Underage drinking
Possession of stolen goods (I didn't steal them, though)

And I hope to add attempted murder to that list.

but this prompts me to bring up a question:
The difference between complying with the law and doing something morally wrong.
