I just had my pictures taken with Jewel Staite, Alan Tudyk, Morena baccarin, and Nathan fillion from Firefly/serenity!!!!

For those who can't put the names together, that's (in order of how the pictures were taken)

The first every Firefly/Serenity Convention (Big Damn Flanvention) was this weekend in burbank. All sorts of events, Q&A, meet the cast, autographs, professional photo opportunities, a banquest, cocktail party, karreoke (sp), a convention sales room, autographed pictures from all kinds of other shows...and other stuff. Really fun!

The only person who can't go was Gina Torres, AKA Zoe.

Since I had finals to study for, I had to go right after my photos were taken this morning and couldn't stay for the other events. Only one of my photos was finished being developed, so I'll get the rest later, but still, it was awesome!

They're all great people, nice and friendly.

If I get my scanner working, maybe I"ll upload the pic I have so far later.

Ok, well this was my first of the 4 pictures, I have to admit I was a little nervous with jewel and alan, but it wore off after that.
Plus i had 6 hours of sleep.
Plus I worked out right before bed.
And drove 2 hours to get to burbank...

So it might not be the best quality... but it's still not bad.



The other 3 will come when I either go back to pick them up tommorrow or when they mail them to me (depending on if I have time tommorrow).

Well, I've decided to go back tommorrow and get up early to study for finals. Autographs are around 3:00, and I can pick up the remaining photos I hope. I'll scan them all in tommorrow night or monday.

Morena (Inara) doesn't seem too unattractive to me. Natalie Portman looks worse in that one scene in Episode III :P. Morena was still pretty nice, and she doesn't look that bad. I could tell that day that she didn't want to be doing all the photos, but when I talked to her when I was getting autographs she looked better and seemed alot nicer.

Morena isn't very photogentic. She looks much better on film.

Vegar, you could try SMILING once in a while.

I too am extremely jealous. Lucky sob. Though Morena looks a tad gaunt in that picture, like she stopped eating for a while. Though that green dress Jewel is wearing in the group picture is nice. Her picture with you is pretty sweet too.

Did they talk about the future of Firefly at all? What plans are? Who is and isn't coming back (flashbacks etc.)?
