LOS ANGELES, CA, (NAMC) – Peta is widely know for their strong stance on animal cruelty on all levels. They have been after Kentucky Fried Chicken for some time, launching undercover investigations at the KFC defeathering tanks as well as the slaughterhouse. They claim that beyond the obvious that KFC breeds these chickens to become overly massive, which they claim makes many of they crippled.

In a new twist, one of their staff members, Chris Garnett, went to courthouse and legally changed his name to KentuckyFriedCruelty.com, this is the same name of the website that Peta launched to battle KFC.

This is not a joke, Peta claims to have the papers to prove that he has legally changed his name.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is a subsidiary of Yum! Brands (NASDAQ: YUM), also under the Yum! Brands umbrella are Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Long John Silver (LJS), and A&W All-American Food Restaurants.

They made a typo. The actual name of the company is Yuck! Brands...

I worked for Yuck! Brands for a few days (yes, *days*. I didnt last very long) in their IT group here in Louisville, Ky. I had never before or since seen an IT setup worse than theirs.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

I think all vegans and PETA members should change their names to something like this. That way they introduce themselves and you immediately know to punch them out and walk away. Normally you'd have to converse with them first, which is a waste of time because their ideals are so poor and they are not worth talking to.

Not all vegans are crazy. Well, not necessarily crazy in a bad way.

I'm a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) who totally supports the right of every American to bare arms, hunt, and eat meat. I'm just against factory farming methods and chemicals/hormones being in our food. If you disagree with any of the above, your opinion is obviously worthless.

PETA does some really ignorant things, but they do a few good things as well.

If cruelty is indeed one of the colonel's secret spices, then it must be the most delicious thing on earth.

Actually I don't care for KFC too much... but it had to be said.

I always say "What about the living plants you kill?" and people think I'm being outrageous. But seriously, the ONLY difference between a carrot and a cow is that a cow whimpers when you cut it up and boil it. PETA people have guilty consciences. I can understand vegitarianism for the sake of health, but if you think you're saving anything's life, you'd better stop eating PERIOD.

There are a few good articles on how organically grown foods are actually WORSE for the environment. Anybody have links to those?

But even the water has chemicals within it, even if you get it from the river (and, sometimes, especially if you get it from the river).

While my girlfriend and I, as well as my parents, do grow some of our own organic vegetables (there are even local retailers here that sell organic seeds, but we get much of our stuff online), we buy most of it at stores such as Whole Foods Market, Wild Oats, and Health & Harvest (a wide variety of organic foods can now be purchased at stores such as Krogers, Wal-Mart, and Meijers). I don't pretend to eat 100% organic all of the time, probably more like 80%. On a lighter note, my statement that anyones opinion other than mine is worthless, was meant to be humorous, so my apologiess if I didn't make that obvious enough.

Here is a good one. While definitely not what I'd call a consensus point of view, it's fascinating nonetheless. I'm personally not against farms that don't grow organically. I could care less if 90% of the US fills their tummies with milk and cheese that are full of hormones, or if they drink a bottle of pesticide for lunch everyday, as long as my family and friends have a choice to continue eating organic. I'm not against people having the freedom to grow things the way they want, I'm against the government allowing it to be forced down our throats while our ignorant population continues to believe that terms such as "organic" or "all-natural" actually mean the opposite of what they do. I used to work for a grocery store, and I've literally explained to over a hundred people that organic DOES NOT mean that it's synthetic and full of hormones. As Americans begin to wake up and realize what's actually in the food they eat, they'll have the opportunity to make a more enlightened decision.

You'd wonder; if all the stuff they put in food nowadays is so bad, then why are we living twice as long as we were 200 years ago? Must be all the preservatives, eh? ;)

Oh, and KFC is great. Someone needs to get on that secret recipe with a mass spectrometer or something and tell us what's in it.

As for vegitarians, I think Maddox says it best.

So if there is only ONE difference between a carrot and a cow, I guess there is no difference between a cow and a human being.
