Download Accelerator has a resume. But its been over a year since I last used it, so I couldn't tell you if it's got adware/spyware. I used to really like that program.

It was all right, I think I was expecting a little more from the camera and being able to voom in and stuff, right now it's kinda cool but I guess it's something I'd have to get used too.

The conquest and stuff is fun, organizing raids and building fleets, I might buy it when it comes out.

From the first two tutorials I played, it reminded me of C&C games a lot and in a good way.

Installing. The more I read from you guys, the more excited I get. It's been a while since I've played a good RTS

I liked the mission where you lead a rebel attack on an imperial starbase... using the bombers to take out the captital ships and then having your fighters take out the stations defence's while your corvettes take out the stations hanger to stop re-enforcments and their shild generators so that your frigates can destroy the station.

Finshed the tutorials, I really liked the feel of the game. The Cinematic mode seemed a little off, but it worked.

Meh, can't get it to work on Linux. Time to install good ol' Windows again...

I can say that I really enjoyed the demo. I like how the money system works with more planets=more money. And the prospect of both space and ground combat are enjoyable as well. It gives it a more realistic feel to the real-time strategy idea that you have to destroy the ships in orbit and then you can invade the planet. I found nothing terribly wrong with balance, but only being able to play with a few units, its really hard to say. The AI for a couple units seemed lacking, especially Rebel artillery, which had a tendency for me to just up and move even when I didn't tell it to do anything. Overall though, I enjoyed it, and since a friend of mine is going to be helping me get it for $20 when it comes out, I'll be buying it.

The galactic conquest mode is very much an RTSafied, fleshed out version of battlefront 2's galactic conquest mode...

Not quite sure how it would work for MP, though, since it jumps you to a loading screen whenever you switch planets. It loads quick for me, but I'd be curious to see how it's pulled off for multiplayer

I have been playing the demo for the past hour and a half. It feels so fresh and enjoyable. I've learned that strategy counts; after playing FPS's for such a long time, it seems my micro has been numbed. In the first tries at each battle, I just moved all the forces into the battle without thinking about a plan. Glad to have that Star Wars excitement that I haven't had for a long time.

As far as the Tatooine battle is concerned, I HATE BOBA FETT.

if you capture the mercanary base to the west of the first capture point then you stop fett from coming I think... you basicly Hire him.

but damn, the first battle with them I didn't think much about troops or strategy and just landed a bunch of troops and a few of those hovering tanks.

I got obliterated and had to retreat from the planet... the next time around I spent all my money on a fleet of like 17 squads of those hover tanks and like 10 squads of rocket guys and 8 squads of troops, then I put my fleet from the previous space battle into orbit which gave me the orbital bombardment ability... made getting rid of that turret north of the mercanary base easier, then ya just go around the base (watch out for the sarlacc) and come into the imperial sheild perimiter from the north and work your way down.

I kinda ignored this and instead hit the sheild barrier from the south west and sent my tanks to attack the turret and my rocket guys to take out the AT-AT's and AT-ST's and my regular troops to take out the rest.
