I'm moderate. I think that anyone who associates themeselves with one set of ideals for EVERYTHING, is making a huge mistake. What does border control have to do with abortion?

Seems a wee vague to be a great poll, but eh.

I don't know. I have my own opinions on things like abortion, taxes and cloning, for instance, but to put them down on paper would mean forming the Tony Party. A little of everything, and naturally, things no-one'll touch either.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

I'm completely and utterly callous, and i think everyone else should burn.

So of course, i voted conservative.

Agreed wholeheartedly. HOW one can claim they're patriotic, or political people, yet x-mark their political party's on every single ballod? That's stupid. Make informed decisions.

Anyone remember the idiot who flipped a coin and voted? That was one of the stupidest, and biggest waste of a vote I've EVER seen. It's almost as bad as always picking one side.

The majority of Massassi must not have seen this poll yet, since conservatives currently outnumber liberals. :p

Political parties usually represent the ideology of the members. People do cross-vote. But it will be a cold day in Hell before I vote for a liberal. :p

Perhaps a better idea would be to create a scatter diagram using co-ordinates from the political compass site somewhat like the massassi map project?

I'm Economic Left/Right 0.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.66

im way more liberal than conservative but at the same time when it comes to the US political system, to be an individual thinker, one must be moderate and not affiliate themselves with either party (because they both suck)

For awesome political debate, I go to politicsforum.org I enjoy that site alot, and anyone else interested in political debate forums should check it out (I post as KurtFF8)

anyone know any other good political debate forums?

Since when is a moderate in the middle of the political spectrum?

Try going somewhere other than America. Moderates in America are conservative.

I'm really becoming irked with the childish liberals now adays. That doesn't mean I want the wacked out extremist conservatives, but my god, the liberal party has become hippies.

I disagree with the hippies part, but at the same time I agree that both parties suck and a third party needs to come and replace one (the easiest as of now would be the democracts to be replaced)

Liberal, non-partisan. Dang demmycrats.

I'm a moderate conservative. On most issues, I am conservative, but I have some generally liberal beliefs like pro-environment.

I like money and trees.

I voted liberal, but technically I'm not too far left of center. I just can't stand ultra-conservative Fundamentalist Neo-Nazis. ;)

According to the political compass, I'm left libertarian (-4.25, -3.54). Which puts me close to the Dalai Lama, Gandhi, and Nelson Mandela. I'm in good company :D

I like a lot of very liberal, social and libertarian ideas, however I don't think they can be implemented any time soon. Changes need to be more gradual. So I vote moderate mostly, and consider myself a moderate overall I guess.

I landed one spot over from the Dalai Lama once, retook it again and landed one spot near Gandhi with like...2 changed answers. Weird.

I'd ask what the **** is wrong with you, but I know you're only voting liberal to keep Harper from gaining too much power.

If his party ever becomes a majority government... I hope God will save us all.

According to the political compass site, I'm (5.00,4.92). Which means I'm an authoritarian and I support capitalism/free markets. I'm right up there with Ariel Sharon.

Liberal. How people can live in such a society - in which inequality persists to such a drastic degree - and still believe that every individual has the same opportunities and the same ability to "choose" to succeed is completely beyond me. And all the while these people who are shouting "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" are tightening their already strong grip on social privileges, making it even harder for people who have few opportunities in the first place.

And it's already been mentioned, but this poll is pretty worthless (or stupidly US-centric) because international definitions of "liberal" and "conservative" vary so much...
