Amazing. Back in the glory days of Fahrenheit 9/11 he was overwhelmingly supported by many here but now it appears that his appeal to many has worn off. I broke a rule of mine by actually paying to watch F 9/11 but really I was paying a flat monthly fee to Netflix so I felt a little less dirty.
The thing that bothers me the most about Moore's work is it is erroneously classified as documentaries when they really are comedic political satires. I never finished Bowling for Columbine. I'm tempted to queue (sp?) up the old video files and give it another shot. I remember laughing hysterically at the beginning of F 9/11 due to the illogical thought process involved in the opening sequence. I then got bored and finally went back and finished the movie a few days later. I guess the only redeaming quality for his work is what someone here said, they inspire debate. Apparantly there is a lack of debate on gun control and the war in Iraq in this country. Anyway, there is not one logical, valid point in either of his two "documentaries" that I can remember. Maybe somebody can point one out to me.
Has anyone here ever watched Fellowship 9/11? I think I linked to it a year or so ago. Hillarious spoof of Fahrenheit 9/11 with a Lord of the Rings spin. Google it. It may still be online.
