I think those "subliminal messages" are just an accident. especially in "Pepsi's" case... I saw the video where they discuss it too, like to make the can more attractive because we are attracted to that word on a subconcious level... but come on.... how many people are going to have cans stacked that way to get the complete message? and even if they are stacked, you have to turn them the EXACT right way or else it won't work.. it looks like someone was trying to make the word on the pepsi one...

That never happens to me...

FedEx is OBVIOUSLY all about moving and traveling. An arrow does not subconsciously appeal to anyone or persuade them that FedEx is in any way more desirable than, say, UPS. It's just a neat part of the logo.

And you'd know this, having conducted hours of marketing research with thousands of people? Don't think that FedEx didn't do as much with several different possible logos then go with the one most people liked.
