Give a person who's never played a game in their LIFE before a controller and tell them to aim at a target. Time them. Repeat that same thing with a mouse.

I'm willing to bet they'll always get the target faster with the mouse.

i agree with one that point 100%
but take avp2 for example with a mouse, take a noob and someone thats played for 3 years, its going to be hard as hell for the noob to keep getting headshots cause its hard to aim in that game period when your new to it.

halo has a completely different aiming range and crosshair then avp2 making it more diffcult to get a headshot then it is in avp2 depending on what weapons you use.

but would you rather use a mouse or thumbstick with a game? mouse gives your more in return

im just saying that you saying new people coming into halo with a mouse pwnin everyone with pistol is not likely cause you have to learn how to use it with like anyother game. though the thumbstick would be harder to learn and adjust to if you didnt use it regulary

I think I'll use Vista's release as an opportunity to switch to gentoo and buy a console for my gaming needs.

Edit: Also, I wanted to say Vista's requirements are way too steep. No OS should be such a hog.

And this is horse****:

I was thinking more along the lines of the U.S. presidential election which was almost exactly 2 years ago. that is definitely the worst period in Massassi's history

If we don't upgrade, wouldn't we be doing that by default? And if we did upgrade, why would we care?

Well, I think it at least peaked around win98 or 2000... I can hardly fathom Windows 1.0 or even 3.1 to be better than either 98 or 2000..

I think XP is by far the best so far. Vista is indeed promising as well.

XP has yet to BSOD me. It's one-up, then, from Win98.
