It's insanely cold outside. I just stepped outside for a few minutes, and knowing it would be cold, I was wearing a tee shirt, a track jacket, a hooded sweatshirt, and a think leather jacket. And I was still shivering in a matter of seconds.

To make things worse, the door to my apartment is broke, and randomly swings open when the wind blows, so if we're not careful, the door comes open and all the cold air blows in.

What makes this really ironic is that 3 days ago, it was roughly 60 degrees out and the sun was shining. Now it's like... 2 degrees. :|

Sandals and socks dont mix! I started wearing my sandals around march last year, stopped in november because i didnt like purple feet. I feel them calling again though.. my feet feel trapped in shoes and socks, they need air!

Yup. The Pacific Northwest is getting that blast of arctic air from eastern Canada tonight and into the next few days. Here in Portland it's supposed to get down to 15 - 20 degrees, plus a wind chill of at least 8 degrees...that's extraordinarily cold to us. Just the other day it was sunny and warm. WTF is up with mother nature?

at 6:30am this morning it was +6, so all the snow and freezing rain from the night before was slush.

It's now 8 am, and -15 with high winds. Yeah, all that slush is frozen. Flash freeze owns

I could give you an explanation(I'm taking meterology this semester) but don't feel like it right now. It's around 50 here as well and it rained this morning and now it's sunny and nice outside.

Why does a Massassian living 2 hours away make me want to buy a gun...just in case?

It's -5F here.

Last night it was about 20* F up on the Wasatch Bench here. I went shotgun shooting and forgot gloves. It's hard loading a weapon when you can't tell if you are grabbing a shell yet or not.

I still did pretty good for my first time shooting trap. I've only ever shot rabbits before.

Where's U of I? Cause I thought it was in Boise.. That's more like 6 hours away.

Nope, 8 miles from Pullman. That 8 mile stretch is one of two in the nation that started the events that led to the drinking age being 21. I love neighboring college towns.

I see.. So it's like.. in Moscow? (or near there?)

I could drive south on highway 195, and be there pretty quickly.. probably like an hour and a half.

Over the worst paved road ever. Nah, I go to school in Boise, 'tis Boise State University. And U of I is either near or in Moscow.

There are Massasians in Idaho?

If you do, I will track you down and torture you.

Now as for states with no Massassians, those would be Montana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska, and South Dakota. There are Massassians in every other state AFAIK.

That reminds me of the King of the Hill episode that was on last night. Hank was talking about his trip to Montana like it's some kind of pristine godsend or something, and Bill said something like "I was in Montana once. It was the only time I ever threw up. But I made it to Idaho." I laughed my *** off.

You can drive if you'd like, but I'm heading 300 miles the other way to stay in Boise for the holiday. ;)
