90 something in a college level high school class. Not college prep, a level above that. Last week we had to read the Great Gatsby, then write an essay (5 pages MLA format) about a motif in the story. After that we had to read a short story by Fitzgerald and then write another essay due the day after comparing the two stories. Also, state contests, not school contests.
It's because he thinks being a jerk is funny. It isn't. I hate people who think if they act like jerks it will be funny. It just isn't.
Guess what, I've got a 90 something in my AP class too. It's still mostly grammar, with a bit more writing. I read The Great Gatsby last year, or rather was supposed to, and ended up making a 92 on a paper that I wrote completely BSing (and no, the teacher was not an easy teacher). I'm a good writer, I've won a couple contests, but I don't go around flaunting it (mainly because I don't write, at least I don't show anyone my writings.). Contests don't mean ****, your grade in english doesn't mean **** (especially since AP isn't really that hard...especially not analyzing the Great Gatsby. Analyzing something like Beowulf maybe, but Gatsby is so damn easy it's not even funny), the only thing that means **** is results. Give us some sales numbers and we'll talk, some success stories and we'll talk. But don't go "HAY GUYS I WON A CONTEST AND I GOT GRADES I WIN".
Also, I think it's pretty humorous most of the time. It gets old, but is pretty humorous most of the time.
Now, get off the subject of you fluffing up your ego like you always do because no one here likes your crap, and back on the subject of DAPs.
