Ok look. The first two movies had a VERY CLEAR reflection in his eye. You knew exactly what it was. This isn't anything! It's just to show his eyes are friggin shiny!

Looks like an office or something. You know, stereotypical office with a nice picture on the wall, desk, etc. Maybe it's Venom's office before he is fired! (kidding)
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

I hate it. I mean sure its all cool he gets the black suit, but the black suit didn't resemble his red/blue other than having the large eye lenses. If Venom gets a black suit like this one, that's just gonna eat butt.
I can't think of anything to put here right now.

And spiderman also had giant white eyes in his blue and red suit... does that mean the movies suck because he doesn't?

I think it actually looks awesome. I always hated the lack of detail from Spidey's symbiote suit. Of course, it wasn't so bad in a comic book, since the art is cartoony, but in a movie like this, it would suck. Would look like batman's smooth leather suit.

What are the references in the two newspaper headers to?

Its venom.

I talked to a guy that knows a guy thats dating a girl thats related to the directors 3rd cousin in law and he said that VENOM IS IN THIS MOVIE.

by gosh this is fun.

Depends which Spider-Man you are looking at. Sure the *original* Spider-Man had large eye lenses, justl ike the original had webs under his arms. Stuff later modified due to artists wanting to make a little difference. Like Batman reverted back to the non-yellow on his chest.

Yeah so maybe the artist (raimi) wants to make a change to the black costume for the movie? Why is it wrong in this case?

It was all black!

Or maybe Linkin Park is doing the main song for this movie. It's definately going that way... Nickelback... Dashboard Confessional... Linkin Park...

It may just be the lighting in that picture, but the colour doesn't seem right. It's too midtone gray or silvery and not "pure black" enough. I also agree that it's too similar to his standard costume. Methinks that the costume designers maybe got lazy and just copied his original outfit to save time.

It also reminds me of his weird armour costume. Freaking Spider-Man and his "Steel Spider" crap...
2006-02-25, 11:38 AM #62
Yes I'm sure the costume designers for the third and possibly final film in one of the most successful film franchises ever got lazy.

And that doesn't really have anything to do with Raimi. Sum 41 did the song for the first movie, and Nickelback did the second one if I recall. Those songs were never actaully in the movies. They were just in the credits. That's a deal made between sony pictures and the band to make money by reaching an audience that listens to a popular genre of music.

Nickelback and Sum 41 both had songs on the first.

I dunno. I'm not convinced that's the true color of the costume in that pic.

It's not unheard of for people to cut corners. Just because it's "one of the most successful film franchises ever" doesn't mean that they won't try to save money and time where they can. If someone just took a quick glance at it, they'd probably think it's the same costume except silver/"black".

I'm not trying to say it's horrible or anything. [edit]Actually, I don't know how you would go about making a more original costume, considering they probably have to stick with something at least slightly similar to his standard costume. They didn't go with the known black costume, so there probably isn't much other choice. Still, they probably could have made some modifications to the design to differentiate it a bit more.[/edit]

well as for the reflection in the eye I think it's Hob-Goblin seeing as they set up for him in the end of the second movie....and thats what it looks like to me in his eye,

just look at it side ways.

Well.. that is certainly an interesting picture.

A friend and I were discussing it and from the way he's sitting and the fact that there is Rain in the picture and he's wearing a black suit, we've come to think of it as he's mourning the loss of something. What? Who knows. Could be MJ died or some such thing.

And technically, they set up the Green Goblin in the second movie. Harry becomes the second (or third?) GG. Hobgoblin is someone completely different, not related to Harry.
