It would be one thing if ID was entirely dependant on retarded conspiracy theories. However it is just another way of explaining the information we already have. It has no logical flaws, and explains every single peice of evidence we have to date. That doesn't mean it's right, but it works. It's just a likely as any other theory too.

Replace everything mort just said about "opinion" with "theory." Having a theory doesn't simply make it true. ID has nothing to back it up at all. Nothing. There's no support, no evidence, no concrete arguments. ID has faith coupled with argumentative logic. (Ignoring the fact that Evolution and ID don't even prove or disprove the same thing,) Evolution doesn't even need to be argued because it's theory can be tested and PROVEN. Fossils are evidence, yes, but even without fossils, Evolution can be DEMONSTRATED IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES. To argue against that is complete idiocy. ID is a philoshophy - if that.

I've read plenty of creationist articles since my "awakening" and all of them have massive flaws in the form of the writers' basic understanding of geology and/or biology. Hell, that drdino website has an article as to why the appendix is proof we didn't evolve from a common ancestor as primates, because "they don't have them but we do." Do you see the flaw there? Let me help you. Primates have appendices. How do I know this? I've held them. I've cut them open. I've written papers on them. Oh, but the creationists say that can't be! The appendix is funny because if anything, it's proof against an intelligent creator. Why would God have created us with a useless bit of anatomy that serves no purpose other than to sometimes spontaneously get infected and burst?

Yeah, the book with rigged questions trying to prove evolution's wrong because scientists don't have a way of testing how a photo receptor came to be, or various other questions that we as humans won't ever witness unless we were to create a hyper-evolving biological descending chain. Rob's right. The book can be summed up as this: there are things science cannot yet explain, ergo some magical being must have made it possible. That's horribly bad science, and is something that cannot be taken seriously.
