The great massassian holiday
2004-06-13, 2:40 AM #1
I was bored, but was thinkin, if I had the money, and people werent afraid of me [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif], I would go travelling around America, Finland, britain and NZ/AussieLand, stopping off and perhaps meeting massassians along the way.
IF I had teh money taht is...

Also, and the idea has already been presented, such as Britassi meet up, but how cool would it be to have one HUGE meet up!!

Somewhere sunny, the greatest geeks from around the massassi world meet up with LAN's, BBQ's, PubCrawls and such.

The admins of the forums would have no power here, in fact, they would be on public display for egging and taunting [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

If you went travelling, where would you go? and which massassians would you wanna meet up with?

We tried this last year. It ended up with one person going...

Although I think a lot of it was people just not able to come. I would have killed to go, personally. In fact... I did... <.< >.> <.<

Indeed.

I do wonder if he speaks in the third-person like that in real life. It would be fun to find out.

The problem with many of these get togethers is that many here are simply too young. They're not adults yet, and thus, they can't go. For others, it's a matter of getting there. With all of us being somewhat scattered, it's hard for people to actually get there.
2004-06-13, 4:45 AM #10
Hmm, if a convention like that would be held, I still wouldn't come.. for obvious reasons. And stuff.

A suggestion: If you want to speak in the third person, variate your sentances a bit. Don't begin every sentence with your name so much, it just becomes overused and looks dumb.

MassCon or MassiCon sounds better.

But anyways, I've met Jovan, and had a chance to meet CadetLee. But unfortunatly time wasn't with me on that one, and It didn't work out. I think Jovan met CadetLee though.

Highest Massassian concentration is in Toronto. I suggest we hold it here in Toronto [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Then again, a lot of the Toronto Massassians have disappeared... or been banned...

Dallas/Fort Worth is the perfect place. Right along major highways, great convention centers, fun stuff to do, and close to my current residence.

Plus a good airport for those who fly.

We should have several MassCons in different parts of the world, with live video feeds. For example, one for the brits, one for the southern-ontarians, one for west coast/east coast. Probably not worth the effort, but a bit easier and more efficient.

I'm pretty much assuming none of this is gonna happen anyways, but it's an interesting thought.
2004-06-13, 11:17 AM #33
It CAN happen if we make an effort, anyways, this would be a very long time in the future anyway.

Most of you n00bs are too young anyways
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){

elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){

else{
