He left with like a class left to take, and just went to Cali to do film, and worked odd jobs like El Pollo Loco where he'd dress up as the chicken outside the restaraunt lmao (yes its sad that I know this)

Well, I guess Girard, KS was once a major center for the socialist movement in the midwest, and Eugene V. Debs even accepted one of his Presidential nominations in front of the courthouse. Plus, Upton Sinclair wrote The Jungle on commision from a socialist paper (The Appeal to Reason) based here. And Emanuel Haldeman-Julius lived and printed the Little Blue Book series in Girard. The only other relatively famous people who come from Girard are Dennis Franchione and Ron Kramer (at least according to Wikipedia). Still, not bad for a town of less than 3,000 people.

Billy Joel wrote a song about my home town. (Allentown) But the popular consensus around here is that he thought it was Bethlehem.
