Ok, since no one seems to object to the updated rules, it's theme picking time. Since no one has won anything yet...any theme suggestions?

Wait a minute...

Lecy, you might not realize this, but your suggestion is actually brilliant. Perhaps simply "apocalypse". Think about it. The possibilities are endless, and you sure as hell get to be creative.

What does everyone say about the theme being something apocalypse-related?

You could take a picture of a flock of ants about to get crushed. Or just a landscape that somehow emits apocalyptic vibes. A lot stuff, really.

It means photographers get to burn stuff and smash stuff as an excuse to do art [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]

By the way, a small addition to the rules: in the event of a tie between the photographers' votes, the popular vote will decide the winner.

/me loads camera

Well i've dug out my old 35mm camera and brought some cheap film from Asda (Walmart).

I think there should be a category for amature photographers too.. since I won't stand a chance against someone with an expensive camera and a touch of experience past taking holiday snaps [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

Not to worry. I for one am in this for fun and marveling at the better photographers' skills. To be honest, I don't really have any experience in creative photography.

You have under 15 minutes to object to the theme "apocalypse".

It appears something has gone terribly wrong with my calculations. The time has thus been extended to 3 PM GMT (Greenwich Meantime) / CUT (Coordinated Universal Time. Thus, you have one hour to object to the selected theme.

Alright, everything is now in order at http://www.angeltowns2.com/members/mpc/ but I'll wait some more before starting the contest. I'll create a new thread for it to clear out confusion; I wish I could delete this one, but I can't. (Any admins/DC forum mods reading this, I ask you to delete this thread. Thank you.)

This is addressed in the "rules" section, under "other". If you don't want to go there, though, the standard deadline is one week from the beginning of a theme, but it can be extended on popular demand.

This is included in the one-week deadline. I won't enforce a different deadline for digital and film photos, that just wouldn't work as it'd be hard to monitor what's really digital and what isn't. I remain that the one-week deadline can be extended upon popular demand.
