They dropped a project they've spent years on because it's taking too much time and money to develop for a console. Just to make money, instead of making a good game.

Have you even seen any of the more recent screens and videos from it? The game looked like ****, seemed to play like ****, had switched developers at least twice, and was being developed for last gen's consoles (or rather, what will soon be.) Not to mention its original release date was like, two years ago. There was no hope for "making a good game" anymore. Can you really blame them for dropping the project?
Moo.

Yes. Last E3's tech demo got a LOT of good reviews for being original, and Blizzard was doing a good job with it. A lot of games are coming out for current gen (PS2 rather), including God of War 2. There's still a lot to be said about current gen stuff. It didn't look like **** or play like ****, but it did switch developers once--from nihilistic to Blizzard.

I'd rather they take their time and really get it right assuming it doesn't turn into DNF.

Out of all three universes, WC is my least favorite. Yet that not only gets a new game and an expansion, but an MMO.

Diablo was fine to end... sorta. The ending gave some form of closure.

Starcraft, however, has about 50,000 loose ends.

Spector is often credited for DX2, but I'm fairly certain he had nothing to do with the actual development or design.

I LOVE the WC universe--but I wish they'd just made it a normal RPG. I don't think it's right to make it an MMO. Something gets lost in the translation. Don't take me wrong--WoW is easily the best MMO on the market. But it's not everything an RPG would be.

I think Diablo is a great franchise, but has poor games. Diablo 3 probably will disappoint. The only reason Diablo 2 was fun was because, back then, it was like an MMO without having to pay for an MMO.

Starcraft needs so much more iteration it's not even funny, but like I said, all the best people who worked on Starcraft left already. Sucks.

No, you want an example of a cash cow? Who's those idiots behind the Dynasty Warriors games? What number are they on now? 10?

Maybe Blizzard realized that the world wants Starcraft 2, and that they better start delivering if they want to survive the next few years.

I ****ing hate it when firms try and make money by selling an innovative product and use their resources to improving it and increase its appeal to other customers!

Listen, I'm not saying they don't use it on other ventures for their business which may end up benefitting the consumer, and of course they have their own pockets to worry about, I was just calling his BS on 90 million dollars a month to support an MMO.
