Your logic is flawed.
...I was just offering up a suggestion, I never claimed it to be a concrete argument. Oh, I know, I "failed miserably" to contribute to the discussion, is that it? Stop gunning after me each time my post isn't a completely rock-solid logical argument. There's something called "scope of an argument." Learn what it is.

1) I didn't say you failed to contribute. It was a good point...flawed, but good.

2) You take everything too personally. I think it's funny--you say you're trying to get a reaction out of me, et all, and I make a simple response and you get pissy over one phrase. I didn't say "YOU SUCK LOL WTF LAMESAUCE", I said your logic is flawed. It is.

3) I'm not out to get you, the government isn't spying on your porn downloads, stop being so paranoid.

Obviously, hence the question.

You're right, I'll just go take my meds.

Not paranoia, observation.

I don't *target* anyone.

And Emon--and I'm sure full-blown paranoia is just being mildly alert, right? Not to mention, I was clearing up the fact that I never said you "failed at the conversation miserably" or whatever. Maybe you should learn to put 2 and 2 together--you ask a question, I answer. Is that easy enough to understand?

I was alluding to what you said in another thread where you made a similar remark.

Bringing the thread somewhat back on track.....anyone seen a dual wielding mod come out for Oblivion? Or a mod where two handed weapons do x6 sneak attacks?

Also, good job on the MIB reference Jepman. :D

Dual-wield would be great. I would kill for a combat system like in FAKK2. It has the best dual-wield system I've ever seen. Two swords at once (I think), two guns at once, a sword and a gun, a sword and a shield, a gun and a shield. The animations were few but the premise of the system was very solid. JO/JA needed it badly. There is no good reason not to be able to use a lightsaber and a blaster at the same time.

Also, why is there no cavalry feature??

Were you maxed out on stealth, because I was convinced you could sneak with a 2 handed weapon.

Your damage multiplier is based on your sneak skill!

What I'd actually like to know is if it multiplies extra damage a weapon does.

READ THE ****ING MANUAL.

In the manual it also says the damage multiplier doesn't work with two-handed weapons.

There's no reason it couldn't be in. If it's too unbalanced then rebalance it but the feature should still be there.

Yeah. It's a neat idea, but $2 is too much. Let's say the game retails for $60. After 30 of these $2 addons, I do NOT have another full copy of Oblivion. I would charge $1 at most. I mean, horse armor for $2? I'd rather just make it myself!

They wont be releasing 30 mods. If they did, no one forces you to buy them all, and you probably won't because not all of it will appeal to it. Just like the wizard tower crap doesn't appeal to me, while horse armor does.

They could have easily released a dozen more things into an already complex and huge game, but they could have easily released it next year also. I'm quite happy that I have my game now, and I can choose whether I want the additional fluff or not.

Of course, I'm just not sure the $2 price tag is justified for the amount of content.

They have to pay the designer to make the mod. They are doing it this way so they can justify spending more time on addon content than they did for morrowind and other games. The armor expansion for 2 dollars is small, perhaps, but the wizard tower and the other one will probably be a nice questline worth more than 2$.

Game designers aren't magically worlds faster than any other modder like us, they are a bit yes, and they work as a team.

But making the horse model could have easily taken a few hours of their time, not to mention play testing and etc.

2$ is really nothing in the end.

Not as many people will buy these addons as the game, so they have to make up for it with the price tag.

That seems to be the best justification for the price tag, and I don't think I can argue with that point.

I didn't realize there were so many multithreading options oblivion didn't use by default.

My already superb performance is actually BETTER...

In response to Jepmen: More time to work on mods than for Morrowind? For morrowind a handfull of official free mods were released (adding new options for bards and new areas and whatnot) + two superb addons that added new land, items, better quests than the origional, and much more. What more would I want? All those little tweaks will be provided by the online community. It probably won't take long after the release of barding that a modder adds the same thing in his mod for free... This idea of pay-per-module/addon is just bound to fail in a freely modable game.

I don't know, how well did it turn out for NWN? They just started releasing premium modules a while back.

You are right on that one. Thing is, their addon will most likely be more quality then user-made because they have access to greater tools... like a model exporter for instance.
