Whats massassis feeling on this. I'd say its a pretty close run thing between Messiah and Fallout 2. Ok its Fallout 2.

Anyone saying Neverwinter or Balders will be hunted down and faxed to ... Um ... GAMEING HELL!

Please excuse the incoheriancy and spelling mistakes as I am dyslexic and emotionally charged right now.

Fallout 2.

NWN and Baldur's Gate (1 and 2) were both extremely good games, but Fallout 2 will always hold a special place in my heart. Err, hard drive.

it's so obviously Planescape: Torment followed by Baldur's Gate 2.

Fallout and Fallout 2 were both awesome ]b]but[/b] they were so full of bugs and scripting errors that if you managed to complete the game without having to do whole parts of it again (due to bags, not due to being rubbish) then you were extremely lucky.

Planescape: Torment

It is one of the best games I've ever played, and I know it is the best RPG I've ever played. Fantastic story, and it is one of the few computer RPGs that let you really roleplay. You could play you're character in a ton of different ways, from a crazy loon to evil incarnate. Too bad it didn't sell all that well.

The only part that stands out in my mind was in Fallout 1, where you could get trapped in a corner in the first town due to the lack of a Push command. Maybe I just have rose-tinted glasses on, but I really can't think of any other (game spoiling) problems.

If this is the same Interplay I'm thinking of, Descent 2 and 3. Of course, those being 2 of maybe 4 of their games I've ever played...

I've always loved Descent. It's just... cool. Yea...

Personally, I think NWN's combat system is unrealistic and outright sucks. Then they did the same for KOTOR which made it tough for me to play through.

I played Fallout 2 once...didn't go far as I thought it sucked...never played Messiah though.

No, it's just the whole bs that I get to swing at an enemy and then I have to let it swing back. It's taking turns swinging. It's boring. The interaction in combat is pathetic.

Morf--it's DnD, the origins of Fantasy gaming. It's not for everyone, admittedly, but it's realistic as it gets, for an RPG.

Interplay eh? Fallout.

Both Fallouts are full of bugs. You can probably complete the patched versions once without really noticing any, but once you go exploring for all the neat stuff you start running into broken scripts, unfinished quests, etc.

But they had a soul to the games themselves like you wouldn't believe. It was the spirit of the games that made them great, not the perfection.

Descent and any incarnations and Fallout 1 and 2. Although now there are user patches which fix bugs... /me grumbles about the lack of children due to Britland laws stating that games cannot depict violence to children...

Dungeon Siege, The diablo series, and Sacred are all RPG's that do not implement a turn-based combat system and IMO are much better because of that.

The point is, NWN was made to use DnD rules. If you don't like that kind of thing, well, don't play it.

My favorite is Baldur's Gate 2. I recently installed it and I'm loving it. "Cover your nose, Boo, we will leave no corner unexplored!" <3 Minsc

Yea both Fallouts (and Tatics too, I've not played BOS yet but that probably has a few bugs) where bugged to ... um ... GAMING HELL and back (even with most patches) but come on their classics.

But otherwise there are some class games being metioned. Keep it up.

I don't think that you will be able to find it by itself easily, I got it for $10 along with Soulbringer at Fry's. I couldn't play Soulbringer for more than 10 minutes, it isn't all that good, but the $10 is worth it for Torment.

NWN doen't really count as a true Interplay release. They're listed in the credits solely as "Original Publisher". Bioware made the game and has full rights to it.

The first two Fallouts, Giants, Planescape: Torment, and the best RTS that no-one ever played, SACRIFICE!

I wouldn't give Interplay much, if any credit. All credit belongs to Black-Isle, Planet Moon, and Shiny for developing those games.

Am I the only one who disliked Fallout, BG2, and NWN? I just disliked them. Fallout just didn't appeal, BG2 was very cartoonish, and NWN bored me. I REALLY hate the DnD attack system, but I keep playing games with it.

Yay be me.
