If you could hold a WW2 weapon, what would it be?

For me it would be
Allies:
colt .45
m1 garand
browning automatic rifle
M3A1
M4 sherman
F4U Corsair
Axis:
k98k
MG42
k43
ME262 Schwalbe
Sturmtiger

geez, what a bunch of gun nuts. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]

If I didn't know you better I would assume that most of you are right-wing gun activists. However I'm different. Nothing but WMD's for me.

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next." They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

Nah, just video-game influenced war-nerds [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

Axis:
Just to keep the Finnish end up: Suomi KP . Better than the Sten, much better than the MP40, and a direct influence on the PPsH. Unfortunately, a bit too expensive and time consuming to produce in large enough numbers for a small nation trying to stave off the largest nation in the world.

Allied:
DeLisle Commando Carbine - Because firing an accurate and silenced .45 slug at 200 meters is always handy.

Vehicle:
The Hurricane. Because everybody else loves the Spitfire and because Roald Dahl has written an incredible autobiography covering the time he spent flying the Hurricane in the Middle East and Greece.

Worth a million in prizes, baby.
If it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

That's it exactly. Brutal looking, in an unrefined way.

I've fired both an M1 Carbine and an M1 Garand (my dad has a Garand..it's post-WW2 and chambered in .308, though)..been in several WWII aircraft (unfortunately never flew one, though)..

I'd like to shoot a Colt .45 (M1911)..flying a P-51 would be a great..
