No, that was the "Fox is retarded and didn't think the actual pilot, Serenity, was good enough to be a pilot so they made them cobble together another with more action episode to be the pilot, which totally screwed the show over because no one knew what the hell was going on" episode.

Why are so many people so attracted to this Jewel Staite person. I remember watching her on the show Flash Forward. She's definitely not ugly, but she isn't very pretty either. This is reminiscent of how so many people here said Jennifer Aniston was hot when in fact she is butt-ugly and unpleasant albeit Jewel Staite is not so much ugly as plain.

Jewel Saite is like "the girl next door." and frankly shes hotter than most women out there in hollywood.

Jewel Looked especialy nice in Firefly. I think it's because she had to put on weight for the part (she said that in the special features of the DVD).
In The movie Serenity, it looked like she had lost some of it.
Not that it made her ugly by any means but she just looked a bit more "hollywood" and less "girl next door."

Liv only really looks hot in the movies themselves, I don't rate her much in publicity shots.

Jewel isn't conventionally "hot", but she is incredibly cute.

IMO.

agreed. Joss Whedon told her to put on some weight for Firefly as he wanted her to look like the girl next door, someone who "enjoyed a hamburger from time to time". For the film, she was way too thin

I recieved produce orders for all the houses in the housing organiztion this semester, and we (my co-worker and I) always snagged a few strawberries from the cases if they were ripe.

Hahaha, I always found Kaylie so innocent, surprising she was taken onto Serenity after Mal found her screwing his original mechanic in the engine room and she turned out to be better than him at fixing things.
