Who's pumped for it? Who's going to a midnight premiere? Who doesn't care?

It's tomorrow night at midnight.

I'm going out of town for the weekend so I don't know when I'll get to see it but: soon.

I'll see it at some point.

I'm pumped... yet cautious.

I liked the first two easily enough to buy the DVDs when they weren't even yet in the bargain bin, but I'm not desperate enough to try to go to the premiere. The only movies I wanted to see as quickly as possible were the LOTRs, and gods I got enough of lining for tickets with them.

I'll probably go to see this one some time next week.

I didn't see the second one, but I'll probably go see X-Men 3 sometime this week.

I never go to the cinema.

I'll wait for the DVD or something.

Is it just me, or am I right in thinking Storm kinda sucks?

She takes like, 2 whole minutes to charge up an attack.

At which time, someone could unload about 30,000 bullets into her head.
Code:
if(getThingFlags(source) & 0x8){
  do her}
elseif(getThingFlags(source) & 0x4){
  do other babe}
else{
  do a dude}

I hope that she and that blue one (forgot her name) die early.
2006-05-24, 5:22 PM #12
Berry's awesome, so you all suck.
Actually, I kinda don't like Storm either, to be honest. But I've never really followed the X-Men all that closely. I'm more of a Shadow kind of a guy.
I've seen the other two X-Men movies on cable and whatnot. They were OK. Some parts were actually pretty entertaining, and others... well, I wasn't really paying attention. Now, I know that there's a lot of good things about this movie, such as Kelsey Grammer as a big blue thing (can't remember the character's name), but there is one reason that I won't be buggered to see this movie, one reason I'm not excited at all.

-I give you two words: No Gambit.

Boo hoo, no Gambit. He was never that great anyway. [ :o ]

Can't wait, I'm off just now, so I forsee seeing it on Friday while everyones at work with a couple of friends.
nope.
2006-05-24, 6:17 PM #14
Gambit wouldn't really translate that well into a serious film, IMO.

Seeing it tomorrow night. w00t.
Moo.
2006-05-24, 6:22 PM #15
I'm definitely gonna see it. Not a premiere though...

X-Men 2 was pretty cool... Let's hope the change of director doesn't work out the wrong way.

I disagree. Gambit's superpower would be cool to have. He's the one who can charge objects with kinetic energy, right?

You could launch bullets with your hand at higher speeds than with an actual firearm.

I'm pretty sure Gambit has to throw the objects, the energy he charges them with just forces them to explode. Plus Gambit is supposed to back-stab the X-Men in the future...butthole.

You didn't watch two of the greatest movies of all time, not to mention the greatest comic->movie adaptations ever?

Considering I didn't like X-Men to start anyway, yeah.

Gambit was the only guy I ever liked in it.

I don't think you understand--it's the BEST comic->movie translation ever, and they're amazing movies to boot. You have to at least give them a chance.

I'll probably end up watching it on DVD, since I never really go to the cinema any more. This despite the fact that Nightcrawler was dropped :mad: I'm sure it'll be pretty good, regardless.

Sin City rapes X-Men in terms of comic book adaption. As do the first two and most recent Batman, IMO.

As far as action films go, they're pretty decent, but I wouldn't exactly class them as two of the "greatest movies of all time".

Uh...maybe as far as being true to the comic, but not as an adaptation. True X-Men takes some liberties here and there, but it's only to further the storyline in a way better adapted to the big screen. Bryan Singer is a genius.

And I don't really care if you think they're the worst movies ever, my opinion still stands.

shady history? check
rivalry of some sort? check

that's not a fair argument. you could break any story down like that.
