I have been living in a hole. Are religious people freaking out over this? I really dont care. I am taking my girlfriend out for her birthday tomorrow, so there had better not be an apocalypse.
2006-06-05, 11:00 AM #4
Wha! Huh?! It's only 2 PM here. I still have 10 hours until the Apocalypse... or Arockalypse </Lordi>

Where do you live?!?

Don't really think anything's gonna happen...

But if the antichrist or whatever does come.... he better not be knocking at my door at 5AM waking me up or he'll get 6 bullets to the head!

My friends and I have jokingly suggested renting a red tuxedo and having my friend (who coincidentally has bright red hair) go into a gas station and buy $6.66 in gas on pump six, just to see what might happen.

It's the D-Day anniversary, the opening of "The Omen," and means little else to me.

Missing out the entire 2000 other years, yeah - we have a devil date.

hehe, the city I live in was founded exactly 666 years ago, this year. And they chose to celebrate it on 6/6/6. So don't worry, when the **** goes down, it'll be over here. :ninja:

Y2k was all about software. 6/6/6 is all about hardware. Namely, planet Earth. The day of Rockening is night.

Also... it's kind of sad that people are popularizing and commercializing a date to be associated with UNIMAGINABLE EVIL. Something totally gruesome should happen, just to set us in our tracks, like a huge pillar of flame and rain of blood and a giant earthquake. But then again, I guess that would be too easy.

hahahaha. two thousand six? The earth's period REALLY has something to do with the devil... honestly. Especially when 666 appears only by the way we write our dates.

Hey guess what? There are 6 pencils in my jar that is, rounded down, 6 inches tall and there are six immediatly noticable smudges on this jar.

It's by design, the devil.

I can't even think of tomorrow as a non-diverging day. Geez.

I'll probably sit and do nothing like today.

Also... 666 is the mark of the beast, if I remember correctly. The actual day isn't supposed to be all that diabolical. It's supposed to be everywhere, and eventually the 'symbol' will be necessary for all buying and selling. Technically, all this revelling on the particular day is only really fulfilling prophecies and whatnot. I would prefer to avoid all out apocalypse.

This has been said about social security numbers, credit cards, etc. for ages, but it was kind of creepy a few months ago when I was in the shower and the paper sticker covering an RF ID transmitter on my shampoo bottle partially disintegrated, leaving only the ID numbers "666"

Meanwhile back on June 6, 6 AD

Roman Centurion: Hey. The Christians are going ape****. Something about today being the devil's day or some tripe.
Another Roman Centurion: Eh. It's just a handful of them. It'll never catch on.

Also, if you REALLY want to be a historical numerologist, you'd know that the year 1337 was the first year of the Hundred Year's War in Europe. Coincidence? Of course not.

Another Roman Centurion: Great?
Roman Centurion: But I don't like it's legs. So saw them off please!
Another Roman Centurion: Yes sir.

*Sawing*

Another Roman Centurion: Hang on ... I don't remember a piano having four legs ...
