That's true, but if you're pouring a lot the suction can make the bag bunch up to the point where it restricts flow.

I'm shocked at the results of the poll. I really thought bagged milk was commonplace everywhere.

And I really thought it was only used in dispersers. It's a big world.

I had no idea milk could ever come in a bag. This is a complete shock to me.

The SA thread that was linked to contains a lot of posts similar to those here. People either not realizing that others don't have bagged milk, or those who have never heard of it and are baffled by the concept.

Someone on there linked to this page, which explains everything well:

Oh, and as a funny side note, as common as bagged milk is here, I've never heard of the mini bags that a few people have mentioned getting in school.

I read the topic title and was confused, since milk only comes in cartons here. However, given the presence of the "action" and "shaving" thread on the front page I naturally assumed that bags of milk referred to breasts. How wrong I was. And so very disappointed.

Yeah, originally I was going to title it "Milk bags" but I thought better of it.

What is the logic of having a liquid in a bag?

Thats like carrying sewing needles in a balloon. RIDICULOUS

...milk is quite unlikely to puncture a bag in our lifetime.

Dude, that's insane. I've never even seen or heard of milk in bags. I thought cartons and jugs were commonplace everywhere.

Actually, I've seen milk in bags before, but they don't sell it around here.

Define common.
I've seen milk in bags a few years ago, but not recently.
We use almost only cartons. Sometimes glass bottles.

Wow, it's a landslide victory for cartons.

It's almost all sold in a plastic bottle in Britland. The school milk comes in cartons though.

Oh, and you can still get glass bottles off the milkman in certain areas.
nope.

Bags rule. Cartons take up way too much room on the top shelf of the fridge; with bags you can have 2 or 3 bags of bags (so 8 or 12 liters) laying on the bottom shelf. It's so much better.
