Exactly. I'm more than certain that's what my love of videogames, and crave for more out of every videogame I play stems from. It seems that the more physical freedom and control a game gives me, the more I enjoy it. Platformers, Mario specifically, has a specific place in my brain that creates a "completion" almost. I feel whole when I play a game where I can do lots and lots of physical things.
One of the things I would LOVE to do in real life is Free Running. I think it's the absolute and ultimate form of human perfection and art. I can't imagine wanting anything more out of life than to train up for a particular jump, or some new trick. Traveling around just to find a great place to plant would be an awesome way to look at life. I don't know, it's almost zen for me. It bothers me to the fullest that I CAN'T do it even if I wanted to. There are people who are perfectly normal that, if they tried hard enough, could at least plant and run as fast as those parkour pros. I will NEVER be able to accomplish even a miniscule fraction of what they can do. That almost makes me depressed.
So a videogame is what I must settle for. Make it for me.
