This is history in the making and you people are trying to turn it into a pro-Bill/con-Bill discussion? This event is the first step to civil space flights and you're worried about whether or not Bill Gates is bad or not? Wow.

Sad isn't it. I guess people rather do Microsoft bashing because they can relate to it instead of space travel. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/frown.gif]

This may have been posted before, but this is good ammo for the anti-microsoft camp.

It's a VERY long read, but it's still good. Thi author of this actually analyzes stuff instead of posting another "OMG windows sucks" rant.

The University of North Carolina has finally found a network server that, although missing for four years, hasn't missed a packet in all that time. Try as they might, university administrators couldn't find the server. Working with Novell Inc., IT workers tracked it down by meticulously following cable until they literally ran into a wall. The server had been mistakenly sealed behind drywall by maintenance workers.

Roach and Echoman said it best. It's utterly pathetic.

Hell, if a story about a truck, which happens to carry Microsoft products, hits a bus full of children, some Massassians would say, "Finally Microsoft makes an impact on the youth" and talk about Microsoft instead of road safety and the unfortunate event.

Anyway, personally I wouldn't do a flight to space. Maybe it is just a fear of extreme height. :/

I'm rather interested to see what happens over the next few months as all those other interested in the X Prize (Including John Carmack's Armadillo Aerospace) should be putting more effort into finishing their own space craft to try and beat Scaled Composites to the X Prize qualifying flights.
