Greedo shoots first...

It's just silly. The whole thing of han slowing sliding out his blaster and shooting greedo under the table made han seem so cool. With greedo shooting first it's like they're trying to add the cliché that he just managed it in time.

And how could greedo miss with from 2 feet away?... the whole thing just seems so pointless...

AGAIN. In the original RotJ, they had a different actor play Anakin's spirit than in the Special Edition RotJ

I can't say I noticed a difference either. However, I have a more vaild excuse. The only one I own is the unaltered version of RotJ on VHS. The last time I saw the SE version was at the very least over 5 years ago. The scene is also very short, about, 15 or 30 seconds I think. Now, if there was a difference, I either wasn't paying attention to it, didn't notice it at all, or it was so close I couldn't tell anyway.

Either way, that change to the young Anakin Whiny ******* is simply unacceptable and stupid. Not to mention rediculous. He just doesn't fit in AT ALL. And as has been said, an Anakin at that age shouldn't be appearing anyway. Ben appears the way he did shortly before he died, same for Yoda. Why not Anakin? It doesn't fit. Bah. I think I've got plenty of reasons to avoid this stupid box set. He keeps changing things. It's his movie to play with, but I'm tired of the version I know and love being raped by his "vision".

I think I'll look into cleaning our VCR heads really REALLY good and then maybe running it into a computer. I can probably shuffle it to a DVD program one way or another and make my own DVD copy. Multiple discs it might end up as, but at least I'd have a DVD copy, more or less.

What's different about that Greedo scene in the link?

1) Different angle of Han saying "I bet you have." To make the editing out of "Yes I bet you have," seem more convincing. In the SE and O-OT it showed a closeup of Han's face.

2) The SE did a shotty job of showing Greedo shoot first, they merely moved his hand a few pixels. In this shot their bodies actually react to both blasters being fired.
