Prey was a bit poor for Crichton. Wasn't a really driving narrative, and the pseudo-science behind the threat was far less believeable than it could have been... it's not the behavior of the nanobots themselves that was necessarily so far-fetched, but Crichton didn't keep it down-to-earth enough. Timeline was fantastic, the movie sucked hardcore.

I didn't know there was a timeline movie (though I remember the video game). I think Michael Critchon's a pretty bad writer, but I'll just shut up now and stop raining on your parade.

EDIT: For the record it was two weeks Jon. But I made a mistake in misinterpreting one of the rules. It was more adjusting than anything, and it wasn't for anything really malicious, but a misunderstanding on the admin's part, as far as I'm concerned (and it sure does seem suspicious that it got closed for no apparent reason... But I guess I must just be a "****wit" right? ). But that's neither here nor there--saying "You couldn't even stay unbanned from SA" is like saying "You couldn't even survive in the war!", especially with stupid **** like autobans. Seriously, SA is easier to get banned from than any forum on the internet.

No, it's actually quite difficult to get banned from SA. In your case, you were talking about replacing your friend's cocaine with caffeine. This is a dickish thing to do by itself. But most of all, you were actually retarded enough to post your "ha ha hilarious" practical joke in a serious forum about drugs, and these rules are posted very clearly at the top of every single subforum.

Not that anybody was surprised, since you were well on your way to getting probation for posting your ****ty computer advice in SH/SC.

How would you know it's a "dick"-ish thing to do? Cocaine and Caffeine have VERY similar effects, and considering I wasn't planning on selling it, and wasn't planning on just giving them that, and if I did give them any yay it would've been for FREE, it was just a practical joke. It's a "serious" forum, but there's also a post about the pranks you've done to people that you missed. One of them was replacing a bowl of weed with a bowl of tobacco, which made the guy puke. The only difference between caffeine and coke is that coke doesn't burn, and caffeine would've made them more geeked out.


My advice was fine. I probably would've been probated for calling the official guide misinformed, but I was more than willing to take that. Because it was. I still am yet to see a decent rebut to that other than "it was **** advice", which it wasn't...at all.
