He's blaming America's actions. As an American, you have absolutely no scope on what's happening in his country, you're just indignant that he's insulting your country. No offense, but you don't have any room to talk about his country's state of affairs at all, just like I don't have any room to be talking about it.

Is it? It may have been unintentional, but our war on terrism and the dragging of other countries into it could have radically changed the situation for others.

That's true, but at the same time, the US didn't force any other countries to do anythng. I guess it's more a middle ground kind of thing.

Hey guys. Hey guys.

This just in.

Jesus had children, like any normal Jewish man.

Also, theres this huge conspiracy, and Leonardo Da Vinci is in it because he's rad and has a beard.

And it's all totally true, because it was in this book, The Da Vinci code.

Also. It was a movie.

I'm pretty sure whatever backwater country ORJ is from didn't have to change the civil rights of its people unless they decided to themselves. :P

Wow. I'm not even going to start with how much you've contradicted yourself already. It's sad, really.
No, it's a valid point. Sanity is a highly subjective term--think about it. I call you insane for worshipping a guy who just appeared and "created our universe", you call me insane for thinking alternatively at the government.

While I'm not saying I support or even understand the notion, conspiracies do happen and it's not insane to think of them. Most of the time minor misinformation leaks out that steers people the wrong way.

Also, saying "Bush didn't become president just to make millions off oil and wage war blah blah" doesn't mean it isn't true. I don't think the guy's the type to gain the presidency just for personal gain, but if he were then it'd be very easy to do, and he would've accomplished his goal. You can't ignore how much oil's been jacked up since his presidency arrived, extenuating circumstances or no.
Dude, that much effort could have gotten him billions in a more practical scheme. He'd have to be incredibly stupid and fiendishly smart at the same time.

Also, ad hominem attacks are not valid points.

It wasn't an attack at all. It was a statement of fact. People DO consider Christians to be crazy, whether you consider the truth an attack or not...well...that sounds like a personal problem to me.

And we're talking about Bush here. Incredibly stupid and fiendishly smart seem to be his life goal. Realize this is the man who can't give a speech as well as a five year old and yet still had the brains to become President.

Ofcourse I'm not. For that, I blame the Dutch and European government. I'm just saying this 'war on terrorism' is affecting the whole world, and, that everybody is involved to a certain extent, no matter if you're an American citizen or not.

I was merely reacting to this:

I wouldn't mind -at all- if any of you had something to say about my country's state of affairs. You make it sound like I have no room to talk either because I don't live in the US.

Which I think is unfair, because if I claim something, I'm usually well able to back up what I say with some evidence. I thought I had pretty much proved that by now.

We're all educated people, we all follow the news, we all have an opinion, and we all have a right to talk about whatever we want.

I have serious questions as to how 3 or 4 people with blades held up a plane of people. You cannot possibly tell me that out of 200 some people, one or two of the bigger ones didn't say "Fing box cutters?"

Because they didn't expect the hijackers to perform a suicide mission. Had they, I'm sure they would have acted sooner.

Perhaps, but I don't really think I'm going to wait for someone to give me a reason to take out a guy threatening a plane I'm on. I guess if they only sat in the front section of the plane, and only really made their presence known to 2 or 3 people on the flight, they'd be able to do a lot before people realized, but I doubt it'd be easy to quickly bring the plane off course so that it can make it's way to the trade towers without air-traffic-control noticing and STILL not let the people on the flight notice.

You'd have to take a pretty slow turn for me not to realize someone who wasn't our pilot was flying the plane. I know enough about flying (Several of the people I grew up with are pilots, and I've gotten to play in several different sized planes, including a jumbo jet WHILE in air!) and it's pretty unlikely that any terrorist that hadn't flown in a real jumbo jet before would have enough skill at all to get it into the trade towers without a lot of jerky movements and noticable dips in altitude. Big planes can do VERY little of what non-commercial planes can do.

pff, what's 400 miles? That's like a day trip inside a single state in america.

Culturally, 40 miles can be the difference between one place and another (See: Scotland, Ireland). Not only that, but Europe is quite a bit different than America.

Yes, I know this was another lame attempt at humor on your part.

600 miles would be more accurate.

And yeah, Finland and Holland are worlds apart. Europe is culturally very diverse. For example, Belgium is one of our neighbouring countries; they even speak the same language, yet it is totally different.
