Razorwire and an electrified fence. Won't bug the birds, but it'll hurt the hell out of the cats.

Dogsrool (if he were still with us) would have suggested a catloaf:
gee, its along the top of the fence they use to come into the garden.

the people next door put spikes along the top of theirs for a few feet and it blocks them in their tracks.
See I thought you would have already tried the usual method. You just stick a runner on the top of the fence with tacks hammer through it. You can't see the tacks from a distance and the cats stay the hell away from the fence.

Heh, my grandad put them on his fence once to stop the kids next door climbing it. :P
nope.

what about fly paper? would that stick the birds?

It might rip their little legs off. :(

And I don't think the cats would be bothered too much, youd just end up catching tuffs of fur.

well we cant have that, my garden needs to be a haven for winged beasts and a catpocalypse at the same time.

Just get some sentry guns already.

Or hire some geordies with air rifles.

What ever happened to him? I've been wondering why I hadn't seen him post.
It took a while for you to find me; I was hiding in the lime tree.
