I'm aware I'm an idiot. I just don't think you're any more qualified than I am to be telling me that. So knock it off.

Now get in the bed.

need not say anything more. Everything Jon says is true. End of argument.

It's a shame he gets banned for making incredibly accurate observations.

Jon is, indeed, awesome. It's what the C stands for. :ninja:

He told me so!
Hahah. Oh my, you're one blind little cheerleader aren't you?
Like I said, you can't see it because his statements were critical of you. The rest of Massassi was silently cheering him on. Not because they're blind, but because Jon was the only one with the balls to say what EVERYONE here was thinking. It's a shame that he had to take the fall for the rest of us but we thank him for it.

We actually used to have a blind guy that used a speech synthesizer to "read" our threads.

And so ends another thread, a thread that was well into reaching its prime, only to have its life cut short by a tirade of elitism and hostility. And yet, this seems to be the story as of late; the love in massassi is gone. Even the Forum of Love is as cold and frigid as Rosie O'Donnel on Valentine's Day.

What happened to this place, this poor young thread? Was it just in the wrong spot at the wrong time? Did I unwittingly start the massacre of this thread by voicing my opinion and unleashing the horror of Yoshi upon the masses? Will he bear my children? The world may never know.

And so we have another topic that will slowly sink into the waste of discarded topics, thrown away like a tin of sardines discarded with such abandon as to be thrown down on the ground next to the bin.

O, alas my poor Massassi. Will ye ever be back to that which you were so long ago?

Two people who don't get along, both of them need to have the last word instead of just shutting up. That's what happened.

The "rest of massassi" recognizes that Jon, Yoshi, and Free each take their turns being the agressor, and regardless of who starts each confrontation, they all resort to *******ry quite soon. Ford is right, we never used to have so many threads utterly dominated by bickering.

I hate to argue, but... that's not exactly true. There was bickering, and plenty of it, but it didn't last long, and it wasn't in so many threads, and it wasn't so vehement. Posts were like this, if I may say so, instead of like this:

Yeah, you'd realize how idiotic that was if you could only pull the stick out of your ***.

That's merely an example, and yes, it is a bit hyperbolic, and no, I don't feel that way about you.

When my friend asked me to sing onto this forum he warned me that every time every single time DJ Yoshi posts a response on a thread, or makes a thread, it automatically turns into a series of violent posts towards a number of people on the forum. But that seemed like a selling point for me, but now it’s getting tiresome. Couldn’t we all argue about something meaningful? Or just not argue at all? Or why not talk about our favorite flavors of jello instead?
My blawgh.

God this thread certainly got off-topic quick. This poor man still hasn't had a proper answer!

Yes it would suck to get killed by a bus the day you leave college. The way to avoid this is to attend a different form of education - universities or polytechnics are usually reliable.

Also, in regards to the emotions, a good spoonful of sugar generally helps make one more satisfied for a short peiod of time. Though on a regular basis you might get diabeties, so don't do it that much!

(Also, Uberslug, that phone conversation gave me a good laugh. Thanks :D )

The problem is, some people here are getting personal far too quickly when they disagree on something.

It always goes wrong when people start accusing eachother of ignorance, young age, or whatever. And it's a number of people doing this, not just one person.

Personal attacks aren't valid arguments, and they always distract from the topic being discussed. If someone cusses you out, the best you can do is ignore it, and stay on the subject.

But of course I'm elitist for telling you all this obvious stuff. :v:

Heh. My thread got Yoshi banned. I'd laugh but I don't want to get banned myself. That and something else about not supposed to laugh at banned people or something.

Now my stomach hurts. Maybe Dr. Massassi can help me.

I rather think that's the point of them, however one would hope that the people of massassi are intelligent enough to debate a specific topic, without having to resort to name calling when they run out of valid arguments. Of course, after spending any amount of time here, one would soon loose that hope. Still, I can't help but ask. WHERE IS THE LOVE? :(
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

The problem is, Yoshi seems to think the Internet is about wining every retarded petty argument he can stir up. He gets way to emotionally involved and can't tell that other people don't always take thing as a seriously as he does. Other people see it as a personal responsibility to take Yoshi on at his own level every single time he stirs up an argument. I don't mean this as a personal attack; it's just my opinion formed observing this problem. I've given it some thought.

I think its only going to stop when mods stop pointless bickering immediately when it starts. Once everyone get a little laid back they may be able to see their arguments from a tad better perspective, and the problem will go away. Or not. In either case, I feel that we need a crack down on the petty arguments. Serious discussion is one thing, but the fights that have been breaking out over the tiniest idiotic things are quite another.

I don't mean it as a personal attack, just constructive criticism. People just need to let go a tad and take everything a little less seriously. Again, I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I think it needed to be said.

:)

It takes two people to agrue. When it's the same people over and over again, both people are responsible.

Not at all. You didn't do anything to warrant banning. There are other folks who woul have in an argument with Yoshi though. Of course, I don't think continuing to bicker with the guy when you know exactly what is going to happen is very mature.

It's almost like clockwork. You know it pretty bad when all you have to do is see two or more specific people post in the same thread to think "Here we go again..."

Every now and then a heated debate over nothing is very entertaining, but when it seems like ALL some people do is try endlessly to prod another into an argument, it gets really tiring.

If everyone just stopped looking for someone to blame or criticize for ever goddamn thing, we could just drop it, move on, and be merry.

I mean, Jesus. If you care enough about an argument, on the Internet, about NOTHING, to even take that time to post, then you are caring to much.
The tired anthem of a loser and a hypocrite.

First he says someing like, "Ha ha you immatrue moron, you are a year younger than me and there for 10x less mature than me, because I have all this vast expirence and all."

Then he winds it up with somthing like, "I hate you so so much! More than anyone one else ever! Hate Hate Hate!"

I should find the exact quote, it was funny.
