Thats what I would have gotten if it had all the standard options the civic had... but no, it comes bare minimum... screw that. NICE car though.

I'm on the verge on buying an 89 4 door, any comments on what you like/dislike about the car?

Well, one good feature is that it's a hatchback (good for getting larger items in the car). That's often been a handy feature for my family over the years.

It gets over 300 miles on a 12 (I think?) gallon tank. I filled my tank 9 days ago and still have somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 of a tank. I drive 30 miles total per weekday (15 to and from work). So, I get pretty good milage, even though half of the drive is through town areas.

It's roomy, and comfortable. Good seating.

The body has held up pretty well over the 18 or so years my mom has had it, and has 141,000 miles on it. Only a few small patches where the paint has worn off and a little rust. It's had regular tuneups, and the only major thing I recall needing to replace was the clutch, ~4 years ago. (almost sounds like I'm trying to sell it now :P). And speaking of the clutch, it's very easy to drive with it -- as in, the clutch and gearshifter are not stiff/"hard" to manipulate like in my dad's 84 Mercury Capri (in the past, I've posted a few pictures of that car too)

And my own personal likings -- it's a stick, and it looks cool. And, it's got pop-up lights. I've always liked cars with those lights; always fascinates me :)

Overall, it's a really nice car, and has been good to us over the years. I think you'd be happy with it if you got one.

Well, with 5 kids (all boys), that was a must for my parents :P (You! Get in the trunk! Pop down the seats! My leg's asleep! Are we there yet? I have to go to the bathroom!)

heh, actually, they got a minivan in 96, when the 3rd was born. We just have moved lots of things in our time.

Oddly enough that's a selling point for me too.

No, those others aren't mine. They just happened to be at the garage when I took the photo.
