Let's see, I think these are right (but not entirely sure, and the registration program is actually disabled right now so I can't check)...

MWF:
12:10 - 1:00: Silly writing class for engineers we're required to take and most people put off until their junior year, like me.
1:10 - 2:00: CS270, which is basically in-depth analysis of programming languages, as well as some focus on non-standard languages
2:10 - 3:00: American Popular Music, which is basically about society and music's relationship with society (even though the name sounds like it's about "pop" music, it's far from it). Damn liberal arts requirements...

TR:
9:35 - 10:50: Probability/Statistics. Another put off class since I knocked out most of the harder stuff for my math major earlier
11:00 - 12:15: CS251, which is basically more advanced software design

Basically this semester is one for a bunch of "easier" (to use the term loosely) classes that I put off in favor or harder, more important stuff. Not counting the CS stuff that is.

I have NO class.

And, yeah. I could have graduated in the fall if I really wanted to. But then I'd graduate before my friends, and where's the fun in that? This way, I get to take a few more CS classes, and have plenty of time to TA and work on my game.

How do you manage to do CS and take digital logic in your senior year? It's like the basis for all of your computer organization stuff, goes into operating system principles a bit, etc.
2006-07-19, 10:28 PM #11
tofu, that's 16 credit hours.

I'm an IT major, with a CS minor. I spent my first two years doing mostly Gen-Ed crap.

It;s been my experience that credit hours represents nothing. 16 units of stuff like English and History is a lot easier than 16 of Math and Science.
2006-07-19, 10:48 PM #14
i wouldnt say that they represent nothing, seeing as our orientation advisors were basing quite a lot of things on how many credit hours we have per semester.

To be honest, my online registrar is offline for now and I can't remember when most of my classes are, except for two:

9:00: Accounting I (eew, I don't like numbers, especially not so early in the morning, but taht's what I get for being a Marketing com major)

10:00: Music Theory III

(I only rember accounting because it's my earliest class and theory because it's always at 10:00, no matter what level or what semester)

also taking:

Revolutionary Europe

Choral Conducting (...yeah well my other major is music. you know)

Piano (ugh)

Fencing

Chorus

Voice lessons

Baldwin Charm

= 17 credit hours, plus work study for about 7 hours a week and improv

My course registration date is in august so I don't have my schedule yet, but apparently I'm pre-registered because of the program I chose (Computer Science). Does it mean that I can't choose my courses?

MATHEMATICS I

PROGRAMMING I

INTRO TO COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: LIFESTYLES

INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE

HUMANITIES: KNOWLEDGE

ROCKET SCIENCE

I hope I'll be able to change my courses on my registration date. I don't feel like having Rocket Science classes. :gbk:
