Whats a good game?

Seriously.

I'm bored as hell. Setting up WPO shouldn't take me so long, so I need something to do on my week of vacation.


Preferences;

Multiplayer (Lanplay for the win)
Newish (2004-5 till now)
FUN
RPG possibly?


Anyone know of anything like that?

That criteria (except for RPG) only reminds me of Unreal Tournament 2004 at the moment.

Well, despite your little wishlistb there, I'd go with Hitman: Blood Money. Hell of a time-killer, and amazing fun. Plus, since there's so many ways to solve a mission, it's got a high replay value.

Dungeon Siege 2, perhaps? You'll probably never want to play it again after the first time through, but it was fun. It's also really simple to play.

Already have it, and I already beat it.

I can do A Vintage Year in under 7 minutes. ;)

Deus Ex >.>

I've been playing Call of Duty 1 and 2 a lot. Both very fun in multiplayer and singleplayer.

I've been playing Rome: Total War again. It's such a great game.

I wish you could play mutliplayer on the campaign map.

Neverwinter Nights is great, has LAN multiplayer, was out 2004-2005ish, and is an RPG. Not to mention that if you get yourself the recent releases (Diamond version) you have a ***** load* of quests and play time.

Edit : Well it was out earlier than 2004 but if you aren't a graphics whore, its a very very fun game.

Serious Sam 2 is alright in Co-op.

For Xbox Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is the ****.

Serious Sam 1 and 2 is the best co-op fun to be had in the universe.

Rob has already played through Deus Ex ages ago, if I recall correctly.

And as for another suggestion, I'd still recommend Civilization IV like I did few months ago.

SWBFII = Best battles altogether
Guild Wars = Best RPG for free
WOW = Best RPG

Guild Wars or Titan Quest are good RPG games that are new and don't cost any money extra to play

Adding on the Rome: Total War idea, I think you should check out Rome: Total Realism, which is an addon for RTW that makes it more realisitic and historically accurate, while revamping the games systens. Basically, it makes a whole new game. It's also totally awesome.

Other then that, I dunno. KOTOR maybe? I've been thinking about playing that again myself.

Garry's Mod for HL2. Make a comic that rivals [url]www.hlcomic.com[/url] in awesome. Make a contraption no one's thought of before. I may even join in on a build game if I'm not lagging TOO bad.

Guild Wars is a good RPG for PvP. No monthly fee so you don't have to feel obligated to play the game non-stop to get your money's worth.

WoW is a good game -- until you hit level 60. From there its "raid or die". PvP in that game can be fun but it's not a good alternate and gear plays too much of a role of who is going to win rather than skill. Thankfully Guild Wars doesn't suffer from that.

I already play or not play two MMOs..

They're so ridiculously cheap when you buy 6 months to a year at a time I don't feel guilty for not playing them.

oh meh, all the reviews I find on DSII say it plays like Diablo II... I'm so over mouse clicker games.

DSII doesn't really play like Diablo 2, AND it's just ****ing beautiful AND it has a demo if you're still skeptical.
