Actually there are no elves. The world of Might and Magic is an awesome place, much different from LotR and the likes. Not to mention that its older than most cliché'd worlds these days (Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Six Duches, Warcraft, etc.)

Spawning is neat. But after like, 5 or 6 guys I start to lag.



Also, you can hack people up but good with fatality moves.

Yea, I think thats mainly why they are doing enemies in waves rather than a lot of them on the screen at once. That and the fact that there is no significant way of targeting a single enemy so fighting a horde might be a bit troublesome.

Well they still have until late october to polish.

This game I'm definatly buying.

I just hope Two Worlds will have coop.

I really wish Dark Messiah would have coop too.

Agreed. Any game with good coop is awesome in my book.

There seems to be 2 Age of Pirates game coming out in the upcoming months. One seems to be a hack and slash while the other an open-ended rpg.

Ugh I've been looking around about Dark Messiah's multiplayer and while little is known, well, the little bit I see mentioned is "You will need to work cooperatively with the other classes" about the "battlefield-esque" gameplay.

God I hope there is coop :eek:

I REALLY want an RPG I can play with a controller. That'd be so beyond ace.

Two Worlds seems like it will support joypad really well, which leads me to believe it will be an action RPG

Well if you look at the older screenshots of the RPG one on gamespot (so not Captain's Blood) it looks like they've worked on the recycled engine of Pirates of the Carribeans game that came out a few years ago. That game was awesome on Xbox becuase you could play it with a controller. And it was action oriented. Naval and swordplay.

It's also supposed to have MP. Imagine storming your friend's ship with like a dozen npcs and 3 other players?

I PICTURE MUCH LEETNESS, if this game will live upto expectations.

Two Worlds seems like it might be a diablo-clone. Which will be awesome, if I can use the controller.

I'm having some trouble. When I add: +sv_cheats 1 +map_warrior e3_l06_l09 +exec myconfig.cfg to the target box after what's in there already, it comes up with an error message that says, "The name '"C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Dark Messiah of Might and Magic demo\mm.exe"+sv_cheats' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct." Well, seeing as how I copied and pasted it, and it's working for other people, I knew I must be doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me? I thought I followed the instructions correctly.

Does it run a little like crap for you?

I was thinking about buying another gig of ram.

My bottleneck and possibly be my graphics card or my processor.

Actually no the game's running pretty damn awesome for me.

Running at 1600x1200, 2x AA, 16x AF.

One thing that made it run like crap at 1600x1200 was the Adaptive Anti-aliasing. I went in my driver settings and changed it from quality to performance and now the game plays nicely. I spawned 6 orcs last night and didn't get much lag. Took about 12 of them before it god unplayable.

ATI x1900xt
ASUS A8N motherboard
AMD 64Bit 3700+
2 GB Corsair Value RAM

Well, it performs fine when I'm playing. The spawning crap though...

Like as soon as I spawn something.

Oh, and I don't use AA on this, because I can use HDR. Maybe when DX10 cards come out I'll get one of those.


I can't play anything over 1024x768 really, because thats my native.

I really want a new monitor, but this one works... so I've been hard pressed to just spend alot of money on a new LCD.

Its gotta be really painful to play at 1024x768 without AA :s

I love my X1900 because I can do hdr and aa :)

I never had much problems with ati myself, I wasn't much of a game back when I had my Radeon 9600 and I really love my x1900xt.

I personally am not leaning towards either Nvidia or ATi right now. I've enjoyed both. Once I'm ready for a DX10 card, I will wait till I MUST have one to play certain games, I'll see which figures better at the time.

Oh yeah, I'm definately waiting for atleast the second batch of cards.

I just don't see any point in upgrading right now, because an upgrade on what I have, as you know, would cost me a stupid amount of money.

Even then, I shouldn't be bottlenecking on my card.

It has to be the ram.

That should beat mine, so yea, you're probably bottle necking at the RAM. Its not really expensive these days. If I were to suggest anything, it would be ram and a new screen >:p

That looks pretty sweet.

I don't really know anything about ram, just that I have DDR2 533 Dual channel.

I think I have 4 ram slots though.
