Dreams that have been haunting me...
2006-09-08, 10:49 PM #1
Recently I've been having a series of disturbing dreams. All of them premonitions.

-I find myself RUNNING from a flood of PETROL?
-I'm driving my car, and I crash into a wall while running from a cop.
-I'm in a parking lot and some dude comes up and stabs me.
-I see wars.
-I saw some kids who I knew rape a girl that I knew. I later found out that some one accused them of that.

I've seen other things in my dreams, and they are beginning to scare me. I don't want to crash and die into some house, or see my parents get runned over while crossing the street, or be stabbed, shot, etc etc.... I WANT IT TO STOP!
Nothing to see here, move along.

Stop living a life of crime. This is your calling back to faith, I'm sure!

I haven't done anything illegal in months! I've recently started driving, and getting ready for my exam. Now when I get behind the wheel, I feel somewhat scared, that I crash into something. I just can't concentrate on much anymore.

I get alot of deja vu through my dreams.

You are in actuality a clone of a real person, dreaming of their memories. You in fact, do not want to go to The Island.

You're just nervous about driving by yourself. I was too.

Try not to think about it, just think about where you are (in the car), what's around you, and where you're going. Then when you pass the test, just keep that mindset, and you realize it's not any different.

Massassi: Premonitions . . . premonitions . . . Hmmmm . . . these visions you have . . .
Gold: They are of pain, suffering, death . . .

Massassi: Yourself you speak of, or someone you know?

Gold: Someone . . .

Massassi: . . . close to you?

Gold: Yes.

Massassi: Careful you must be when sensing the future, Gold. The fear of loss is a path to the dark side.

Gold: I won't let these visions come true, O great Massassi.

Massassi: Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the Force. Mourn them, do not. Miss them, do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is.

Gold: What must I do, Master Massassi?

Massassi: Get a life, you must.

K, I'll leave some real advice :P

You should look into lucid dreaming, that helps a lot of people with nightmares.

Deja vu usually happens when you are up and doing something, not while you're sleeping :P

What I mean is, I see something in a dream, and I'll see something very much alike it some time after.
Nothing to see here, move along.

Erm how do you know they're all premonitions? Have you been chased recently by a "flood of petrol"??

Really, I think you should chill a little, you're just having bad dreams, none of this means it will happen. It does sound like you're nervous about driving however.

I've had actual dreams repeat, my only real nightmare as a kid was recurring, and I've recognized locales that only exist in my dreams.

Dreams are mearly messages from the subconcious, a sort of diagnostic of your state of mind and body. Dreams can be easily translated at times; such as the dreams about the car crash, which could be from fears of driving or "heading down the wrong road" or running from problems. Also, the petrol could also be related to driving in subtle ways.

I have this rediculously awesome dream that repeats itself every so often.

Well, not exactly. It's more like I remember the dream while in the dream, but as memories not as dreams, and then I sort of pick up where it left off. Or sometimes it's the same timeline, but I'm in different places doing different things, interacting with the previous dream.

Kinky.

I have recurring dreams that I'm not sure are recurring. I actually think that I have dream déjà vu, making me think I've had the dream before. Is this possible?

I've had several falling dreams, but in all of them the falling is more like flying. I fall, hit the ground, get up, and do it again. The landing never hurts more than tripping and the falling is the best feeling ever.

More recently I've halucinated several times that my alarm clock has a backlight feature, which it doesn't. I guess this is just me reacting to how annoying my clock it.

If you can bring yourself to recognize the dream while you're in it, you can teach yourself how to fly in your dreams. Many years ago I managed to teach myself how to fly, breathe underwater, and some other cool tricks. If you can actually get lucid, it's even better.

Did I ever tell you about my dream I had in Python?

The night before, I had put a command for entering a word instead of a number, and so when I would try to multiply it it would say "Cannot multiply *variable*, since it is a string" or something like that.

I woke up the next morning, knew i had to get a shower, rolled over, and slept for another half hour. In that half hour, I dreampt (IN PYTHON, not like I just thought it, I saw the code) a program that said "Cannot shower Sam, it is a str". I woke up, and thought "What the hell...no more scripting before bed."

I've had that happen to me before. I dreamt I had to debug my dream. It was very stressful.

I had sleep paralysis once. That was creepy. My room seemed darker than usual, and it felt like something I couldn't see was pressing me down. I could move my extremities and, with effort, shift positions a bit, but I couldn't prop myself up at all. After the initial shock, I figured I must be dreaming, so I tried to force myself awake. I had the sensation of snapping awake, just like from a normal dream, and then I could move again.

I had that once, it was scary, because I thought I heard a voice saying it was going to kill me, and a felt a presence next to the bed, just out of view.
2006-09-09, 6:55 PM #33
I get sleep paralysis ALL THE TIME, but I never halucinated or felt stuff.
2006-09-09, 7:00 PM #34
I NEVER had sleep paralysis...omg it wasn't scary.
2006-09-09, 8:43 PM #35
I hope I never have sleep paralysis. My brother told me he's had it before and it sounds pretty scary.
2006-09-09, 9:09 PM #36
Sleep paralysis is actually one of the things that make people think they're being abducted by aliens

This is wierd, but the only times I ever get sleep paralysis are on nights when I don't pray before I go to bed. It's wierd, but oddly consistent.

I actually had it last night, too. It can be some scary stuff.
