Nintendo Wii Price and Release Date.

Yeah, I think there will be a lot of them. They tried to get in on the scene with the Gamecube, but not enough games took advantage of it. I think the Wii is going to be online multiplayer heavy.

And yes, SSB:B online...

[Edit: Or if it does seem like a lot to you Eurosassians. Just order a Wii from America. It's region free.][/QUOTE]

Would that even work, with the plugs being different shapes and mains voltage being different and all?
nope.

... I totally didn't think of that >.<

Can't you buy adapters for that?

Erm...what do you guys mean by "region free"?

Normally, when you buy console games in Japan, but have an American console, you can't play the game. There are ways to mod the console to play every game from every region, but as far as I know this is illegal.
You have the same thing with DVDs.

But if the game is region free, you can buy it anywhere and it will definately run on your console.
Sorry for the lousy German

That's nice....though I don't intend to ever buy a game I can't read anyway.

Well, then substitute Japan with Europe.

I'll probably get one a few months after the initial release to avoid any problems, or second thoughts after buying it. At this point, SSBB will have been released, and I will fail all of my classes and grow a beard.

I just hope they don't rely on the numchuck crap for SSBB.

I think it's sort of a gimmick, and sort of cool. I think it's CRAP for FPS games unless you've got one stick of direction of looking, and another for direction of gun, else you're just pushing the gun in the direction you want to look, then shooting the enemy. That's just stupid. See the metroid video if you don't know what I mean.

Yeah, I think using the stick for looking, the D-pad for walking and the mote for shooting would be the best.

Reminds me a bit of this VR-headset I have. It also has a motion sensor, but you couldn't really use it in FPSs because you couldn't hit anything with the movement of your head alone.

I'll be getting my Wii all european like. >.>;; Means I can at least plug it in at home. (Different power plugs y'see)

Plus, eh, even at €250 console + controller + game is very nice if you ask me. Still €350 cheaper than the PS3. <.<;;

As to Smash Bros Brawl: You can use your Gamecube controller for that. Heck, the developers even recommend you do that.

Kirby they added a new way to play Metroid. It works just like a mouse now. Just about the exact same as if you played with a mouse and keyboard. Look for the videos on IGN. They play in expert mode. It's pretty sick.

You also forget its VERY fast on expert mode, is adjusted to not be lame like other shooter games, and of course has lock on like the previous games. >.>

Meh, lock on.

It could be like PC games where mouse (wiimote point) moves the look screen with the cursor remaining at the center, and the stick could be for walk/strafe (like asdf)

I'd like it a lot better like that actually

though that would totally not work for the swordfighting in red steel

edit: and btw, twilight princess looks FANTASTIC

Uhh, if you used the wiimote to move the screan, but the cursor remains at the center, then the wiimote won't aim at the center.

One of the videos says Expert Controls. Watch it. (Also the full level walkthrough also uses Expert mode.)
