Why do they go so well together? Discuss.

I dont think they go together so well as Soda and pizza do. I feel beer is best drank on an empty stomach to improve the happiness factor.

Most American made beer taste the same and yet people will still argue there is a difference between Miller Lite and Coors Lite. Discuss.
Think while it's still legal.

Depends how many beers... and I'm drinking Stella Artois.

You're living in Boston. Where is the damn Sam Adams?!
Think while it's still legal.

In my fridge. You can get Sam Adams anywhere. Oh, and they make good beer.

Why drink Sam, when I can be seduced by Stella?

Warm morning after half filled beer + cold pizza = best meal EVER.

Indeed, both taste like fizzy yellow tap water. Any big-name US macrobrew lager has nothing on a good Canadian or European (particularly Czech) lager.

I'd like the people who think that anything stronger than bud is motor oil try to drink a good India Pale ale. It would probably kill them.

They don't.

It's attitudes like this that get the good beers ignored. Everyone assumes "it's American, they can't make beer!" despite the fact that most of my favorite beers are domestic, even though I started drinking while living in Germany.

Never tried. Nor will I, likely. I'm not the greatest fan of beer in general. I eat my pizzas with water or soda.

Apparently, before the Prohibition, America was known for making some of the best beer. :argh:

I can definitely tell the difference between Coors Lite and any other beer, being that Coors Lite is the nastiest substance known to man.

Beer and pizza is good, but I find the best thing to go with beer is heartier, spicier fare like Indian food or rice and beans.

The best lager I've tried is Schmucker. But I only ever found that in Spain.

Cider FTW!
nope.

From my understanding, the beer hasn't changed much, people just became more used to richer beers than Pilsners, which used rice in their brewing (which wasn't a cost-cutting step, it was actually more expensive to put rice in back in the day).

That's like saying people can't tell the difference between pepsi and coke. Anyone who's spent enough time drinking the different beers will be able to tell the difference.

And for the record, Sam Adams sucks.

Budweiser has a slightly sweeter taste than most macrobrews.
Miller Genuine Draft has less foam than most.
Coors is thicker than most.
Anything that says "light" on it sucks.
You don't have any idea what you're talking about and aren't even old enough to buy your own beer.

Then again I can understand your affinity for drinking light beer. It doesn't help, though. Still won't help you lose weight as fast as water. Then again your nights of drinking probably start with someone saying "Dude! I stole this 6-pack from my dad's fridge. LET'S GET WASTED!!!"

I'm a Stone junkie. Pale Ale, Levitation, and ABA are my brews of choice from Stone. I will buy and drink Sam Adams. But the best beers are the locals here in San Diego County. Namely Pizza Port, Karl Strauss, San Marcos Brewery.

Most American beers does not include those with the name Budweiser, Miller, or Coors in them.

Beer also goes down very well with Chinese.

Czech beer wins.

Belgian is 2nd best, although Stella is one of the big 'factory beers', and is actually one of the lesser examples of Belgian beer. Not to say that it tastes bad. There's just a lot of better beer from Belgium. If you can get it, try some Duvel, Palm, or De Koninck, or any of the Trappist Beers.

Russian beer is good.

Homemade Russian beer, while risky, is even better.
