Am I the only one who found it odd that a ten-year-old too dumb to know that hanging causes death knows how to tie a slipknot?

A slipknot is what you use to tie your shoes. Its the simplest knot EVER. It would have been more impressive if he tied a real noose, or even a running bowline.

The problem here isn't they saw something bad, the problem is they saw something bad and were so uneducated that they tried to mimick it.

Most children should know by that age what hanging is, what death is (to some degree) and why both should be avoided.

This thing is, I don't think news stations play the whole clip (Saddam's body going from point A to point B). So if the kid didn't know hanging = death, he must have known that one's body needs to be significantly above the ground from hanging-related information somewhere.

Or just thought his body was manly enough to not get hurt.
