I personally wish that troop levels would have been higher from the beginning, even as much as I hate being there. Something needs to be done since withdrawl isn't a viable option. I'm not sure that the increase is enough, however, it is significant and we'll have to see what happens.

That's easy to say but when you consider the mess the previous administration left it's not quite fair. I believe he ranks closer to the best than the worse.

People fail to understand the difference between "admitting error" and "taking responsibility." As any leader knows, whatever occurs due to one's leadership is always the responsibility of the leader, whether or not the leader specifically or intentionally made the mistake, or whether the outcome of any decision is positive or negative. The only exception insubordination or just general disregard for directives.

Note that I don't care to defend President Bush; he has made many poor decisions, but to say he is entirely to blame is absurd. Taking responsibility is at least a sign of humility, and making an effort to move in the right direction.
