Most people wouldn't. Why pay for something that's basically free?
Everybody who's declaring that Blu-ray is dead because there isn't porn on it are wrong. Blu-ray/HD-DVD isn't going to die/live because there won't/will be porn, Blu-ray/HD-DVD is going to die because:
1.) You'll only be able to get half of all movies on Blu-ray/HD-DVD so unless you can afford two players it's about as attractive as a snake bite,
2.) You have to connect your Blu-ray/HD-DVD player to the internet to download updates to play certain movies,
3.) Apart from the people with too much money, the normal early adopters - the technically capable, if you will - would rather download X.264 cable rips than pick a side.
This is completely different from the Betamax/VHS thing in that, no matter what, one format was going to be adopted for sure. The technology served a purpose. Blu-ray and HD-DVD really don't. And, like I just said, if you're a techie and you have the money for a 1080p HDTV and a new player, you probably already have a HD-capable STB.
