[Teckie Question]
2007-02-04, 8:57 AM #1
Ok i have the ability to get a copy of windows 2000 completely for free.
Is it worth it to go from 98 to 2000? or should i stay with 98?

Please don't say "Save up for XP" because, as has been said it's free.
2007-02-04, 8:59 AM #2
That's not a "teckie" question.

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

98 sucks. It sucks hard. Harder than hard. It sucks so hard it bends light.

2000 sucks too, but slightly less.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

There is really no great benefits of upgrading your computer from 98 to 2000 in today's world because it won't change the fact that your computer needs to be thrown out.

Windows ME? Oh, Windows ME was great. Did you know that with Windows ME Microsoft was able to get thier boot time down to 25 seconds? Yeah. That was almost as short as its uptime.
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

And if it says it'll shut down in five minutes, you could always try setting the system clock back a few days until you get it fixed.

Wow.

Do the following for best results:
Obtain a large stick of trinitrotolune or other type of exothermic-inducing chemical.
Place this chemical inside your computer. For best effect, strap to the motherboard.
Put a heat source to the chemical. Do make sure to stand next to the computer when you put the heat source next to it. Results may vary.

Or DOS.

Don't you need a blasting cap to induce the activation energy of the high joule exothermic reaction? For best results place lots little metal balls around the trinitrotolune btw :psyduck:
