You know, I had never expected to smoke a cigar, but tonight I enjoyed the pleasure of my first one. It was a genuinely enjoyable experience, definitely something I could see myself doing every now and then. I know most of the users here are young'uns, but are there any cigar smokers out there? Any recommendations for brands?

Only on special occasions, and when I'm drinking.

I used to smoke a lot of cigars.

Padron is a good brand. Their anniversario cigars are damned nice.
Also, try Partigas.

Hate cigarettes, love cigars. I like almost every cigar I get my hands on. I like trying all the flavors.

Having a cigarette is like drinking a ****ty beer like budweiser, it gets the job done. But having a cigar is like tasting a full bodied stout dark beer like Guiness which gets the job done as well as it being pleasurable. I inhale my cigars.

Actually it's not really the same, considering Budweiser has more alcohol than Guinness and cigars have more nicotine than cigarettes.

At the end of the day, it's a matter of preference. I prefer cigarettes these days, mainly because they're cheaper, and you can smoke them more often because of that. I also got tired of the taste of most cigars.

Of course.

There is also a difference between a good cigarette and a lousy one. Some people smoke Basic cigs. Some people smoke Dunhills.

I smoke Marlboro Reds, but that's just me.

Never smoked a cigar, but I occasionally have a cigarette. Usually when I'm DD for my friends at a bar and someone offers me one. But that's about the lot of it, It's less than one a month.

Cigars tend to look cool, but I'd rather have a chocolate one rather than a cancer stick. Or just have it in my mouth and move it around.

As for smoking in general, I don't really like or care about it, the smell is kind of nice but petrol/gas smells even better and I wouldn't consume gas like few packs a day.

Many people (mostly stupid (pre-)teens and other idiots) tend to smoke because they want to appear cool and blend into the masses. In fact, probably 100% of those are and remain idiots for the rest of their lives. I guess you can include people who are like "IF SOMEONE'S SMOKING GET OUT OF THE WAY" to the same category, since you could probably say "IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET RAPED STOP HAVING A VAGINA/BUTT" at the same time.

People who smoke to enjoy it and not act like an *** about it are cool, I know many of them and I wouldn't send them to concentration camps unlike some tards.

Oh well.

I smoke cigars every once in a while. I could probably think about it and count the number i've ever smoked on my fingers, though. They're a great way to end a long night sometimes. Also one time me and a friend were riding around in an old 70s oldsmobile cutlass convertible with the top down, so we had to smoke cigars. We HAD to.

I really like the taste and the strength of an average cigar, but how do you stop the tobacco (leaves?) from staying in your mouth? It's not like cigars have a filter... Anyways, I smoke Red Malbies too. In fact, Antony's posts have just persuaded me to take the effort of walking down to the store and buying some cigarettes. Word of advise, gentlemen: always pack on smokes before the weekend.

Marlboros are trashy, and bad. All of them. I like Lucky Strikes, but they tend to burn too quickly. But I rarely buy pre-made cigarettes and roll my own.

I really enjoy Romeo y Julieta. If you live in the US you're S.O.L. though, because Amerikkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkka bans good cigars. :gbk:

Wow I didnt know anyone else knew about Romeo Y Julieta. I import their snus from Sweden. Snus is a form of tobacco if you didnt know. Here is a picture:

I enjoy most things you can smoke. I'm quitting cigarettes though because they're the worst for you and they're killing my voice.

Cigars I enjoy a few times a year: New Year's and whenever we finish a tour. I don't really have a favorite brand. The tobacconist helps me pick a cigar based on which label of wine I'm having.

Cigarettes... they're a good little pick-me-up if you're tired or a good relaxer if you're tense but... you get addicted way too fast and they're cheap enough to where you think you can just buy more whenever... they ****ing smell awful and stain your teeth among the myriad of other problems.

But I still enjoy them, just limited amounts now.

Then there's the other things you can smoke which are much too expensive but are amazing. Unfortunately when you have to make the choice between bills and that, unless you're retarded you're going to pay your bills and forego the pleasures.

Lucky Strikes are my favs. They're doing away with the filtered packs in the US though, which sucks. I don't think I could ever smoke an unfiltered cigarette again.

I cant really find anything like it in texas... this is portion tobacco wrapped in little fiberglass packages that cut your lip as you use to get the tobacco directly into blood stream. Im sure there are things that are the same but anything I've tried here is different. In fact, Camel is just now marketing a test brand of Snus in 3 american cities, so it cant be the same thing as previous tobacco companies have tried in America...look on wikipedia.

Marlboros are only trashy to people that think quality=price. They're not trashy for the same reason that alot of domestic beer is not trashy. It's just not expensive. Basics are trashy. Marlboros are not.

Cigars are awesome. There are myths about them not being as addictive as cigarettes, but I've never been addicted to cigarettes so I wouldn't know.

And America does not ban good cigars. We just don't make any domestically and thus they get expensive. The very best cigars, despite the cliche, are Cuban. It's the only thing that island is good at producing. Well, besides refugees.

I was just was out today smoking a cigar and my pipe. I've never smoked a cigarette nor do I inhale anything I smoke. It's all just good flavor. I like Romeo y Julietas, and I just had one of those Kahlua cigars. I liked it because of the taste, and it was pretty smooth like a pipe.

I don't smoke but it seems a good handful of people roll their own cigarettes here. It feels/taste better than regular store-bought ones?

LeFlor Dominicana Double Ligero

I also occasionally enjoy a mild English blend in my pipe, although something hot is nice too. I don't get much occasion to smoke, though. Maybe only four or five times a year.

Must people do it because it's ridiculously cheap.

I smoke like, 4 or 5 Malboro Lights a day. Although I'll go through a full pack of 10 if I'm out drinking. Never tried cigars.
