Terminator 2

I'm sitting here watching Terminator 2. This has got to be the best action movie ever made.

Of course that's a matter of opinion. You have mine. Now post your's.

What's the best action movie ever made?

That's a tough one.
Die Hard is definatly one of my top ones, not sure if I'd call it the best though.
If Aliens can be clasified as action it might take the top spot. but still, that's a tough one.

Oh yeah, Aliens is REAL good.

Same director as T2. James Cameron owns.

Die Hard and T2, my favorite 2 action movies already said. I love them both equally, they both have certain reasons why they rock.
I had a blog. It sucked.

"Last Action Hero" is pretty good, same with True Lies.

I'm probably going to get flayed for this, but I've never seen a Terminator movie.

Aliens has to be mine. Overwhelming amount of action toward the end.

Are you thinking of Last Action Hero?

If so, that movie is amazing. I wonder how so many people didn't understand that it was a parody.

People didn't know it was a parody? Humanity loses again.

Yeah it's bizzare. The movie got horrible reviews, and most people think it's just a bad action movie. The fact of the matter is it's pure genius.

I mean, it's made by the guy that practically invented the modern action movie (John McTiernan: Die Hard, Predator, etc..) and people think it was as "bad" as it was by accident?

Hmm...T2 was awesome.

I liked the Matrix Reloaded, but the first one was better. Revelation sucked.

Well...The Rock was an action movie, and it's my favourite film, so...that. I guess. I still enjoy watching the classic action films (Predator, Terminator, Die Hard, etc.) in a different way to The Rock, but since I love that movie so much then that has to be my favourite.
2007-02-24, 4:17 PM #12
This movie, seriously

Yeah, The Rock is excellent. Definately Michael Bay's best. I'm pretty excited to see what he's going to do with Transformers.

Can't wait for Transformers.

T2 is probably my favourite - I can't vote for Aliens because as good as it is I think the original poos all over it (but I prefer the horror-ness to the action-ness for the Alien theme).

Is it bad that I loved the end of T3?
2007-02-24, 5:38 PM #15
I really liked T3 ;____;

My favorite is probably the Die Hard trilogy. Action is not really my favorite genre though.
VTEC just kicked in, yo!

What category does Boondock Saints fall in? If it's action, that. If not, then yes, Big Trouble in Little China.

The end was the best part. But can't say that for the rest of the movie.

I mean, what is up with the Terminator dude not killing the cops. I understand it's a different robot, but come on. I guess post-9/11, killing cops in films seem so wrong?

It's hard to say, I have a lot of favorites. T2, Die Hard and Aliens are certainly at the top of the list. Oh and various Bond films, especially Casino Royale and Goldfinger.

T2 = pure awesomeness.

It's one of those rare sequels that manages to be better than the original. (and T1 was great)
2007-02-24, 6:29 PM #20
I thought T3 was pretty awesome. It's just highly different than the first two.

"The Protector" or "Tom Yum Goong". Pick your title.. its the same movie:

Watch it... if you disagree its not one of the best, well then at least you got to see a damn good action movie.

That is the best action movie, only beating out Ong Bak... and even then its the same guy doing it.

I wouldn't call it an 'action' movie really. But it most certainly is one of the best movies ever made.

I debated posting it. It certainly has a good number of action sequences in it, but I tend to agree with you.

Not an action movie? It's got flying car chases and big guns. What more do you need?

Anyway; Total Recall. And Demolition Man is pretty good too.

Like Star Wars, I consider it more of a Drama with some action sequences in it.

Asians doing flips and ninja stuff. *yawn*

But, it's Thai Boxing, not ninja crap. Ong Bak has some of the most convincingly brutal fights and Tom Yum Goong has an amazing long fight scene, to call them boring flips and ninja stuff is deserving of a thai man's elbow to the face.
