As part of an ongoing study to see how stupid Massassi is, I frequently post these polls and note how their results change over time.

You must explain your answer.

I don't really know enough about the issue to comment. I just think it's retarded how 95% of the people who sit around bashing it haven't ever studied it more than a quick look a a crappy website somewhere. Seriously, if you get a kick out of that, you have issues.

The problem I have with ID is this:

It's creationism plan beta. The first one didn't work, so we'll try another. We know evoultion happens, so we'll just say it's because god did it.

That's the problem. There is no god. It's a fairy tale.

Give convincing evidence that god does exist. Evidence that can be backed up through experimentation, and not by what an often incorrectly translated book says.

alright! ill give you PROOF! ok, so i don't have any PROOF.

it seems a bit absurd to ask for proof that you can conduct experiments on (i'll call this scientific proof) when as you have already pointed out, religion is not science. its not bound by the same rules, why are you expecting the same kind of proof?

Intelligent design "theory" is based around poking holes in evolutionary theory so that they can continue to imagine they know how life came about, instead of trying to find out what actually happened

The whole point of "intelligent design" is to try and convince people that creationism is scientifically legitimate

No, intelligent design is not science. For something to be scientific, there has to be evidence to support it. There is no evidence that we were designed and created by someone.

No. The fact that there is no empirical evidence to support the existence of God dictates that intelligent design is not an end-product of the scientific method.

Intelligent Design is not a scientific theory.

Personally, I have no problem with it being taught in APPROPRIATE course.

Mainly, with history of religion and philosophy. It is important to know, that some people hold to such notions, but it`s entirely unwarranted to hold such notions as a scientific theory - it lacks the evidence to be one. All, that Intelligent Design can show for a proof, is speculation and Gedanken experiments, which would be very philosophy, but not really science.
I don`t suffer from the lack of sanity.
It`s others, who have it in excess.
